I hope none of you guys go to Oakland:blah: Oakland is terrible this time of year. Mike, I'll be running C class as well.....on a white 400EX with East Coast Atv Stickers....#187

Jr, what class will you be running? C class is huge...from 20 and on up riders...more than likely 2 heats for us on a staggered gate. B class is maybe about 10 riders, and A class is usually around 3-6 or 7........

seatec
07-21-2004, 06:08 AM
JC. Given that the C class is so big can we expect the B and A class to be bigger next year since a lot of C riders will move up?

YLW400
07-21-2004, 08:09 AM
I am sure some of us will move up, but not enough to keep C class to one gate....It has grown even since last year, and I hope it continues to do so.....Plus I don't know how many of the B guys want to get their asses handed to them by Delaware152...lol I am not looking forward to get my butt kicked in B class either...

Hey, im accually gonna race c class, ive only raced twice, for the delmarva series, so i still have a lot to learn, but hopefully ill be up to par to run with c class, i believe im sitting in first for the c class in delmarva. Ive rode with jt a few times at easton, all i can say is he leaves me speachless, FAST. Accually jt talked the guy i ride with into going to this budds race. What are the jumps like there? Many doubles? Or any really crazy jumps? And what type of lap times does it put out? I think i rode with you a while back ylw at easton, i used to have an old quadracer, but i switched to a z now, recently got gibson long travel suspension up front, and some other minor modds done to it, nothing really major. I ended up snapping my swingarm saturday at blue diamond. So im currently borrowing another friends burgard swingarm. I am in need of a set of rear honda pattern beadlocks though, so if anyone's got a set they want to sell, i would take them off your hands.

07-21-2004, 10:10 AM
Yea, he is very fast, and ver smooth..unlike me..lmao Well, it sound slike you are off to a very good start!! Jumps are very tame. I don't think there are any doubles..table tops and step downs...pretty fast track though... Would have to be my favorite actually. I am not sure of any lap times, I have always wanted to check that myself. I do remember the Quadracer actually...Who is the guy JT talked into coming there? ust wondering If I know him or not.

No better way to break her in Mike...lol

Hey, the guy im coming with that jt talked to is matt estep, he rides a lonestar 250r. Both of us just really got into racing this year, and i gotta say its addicting. Hopefully the weather will be good sunday and we'll all get togther down there to ride. Like i said right now the only other guy's we've gotten to ride with are jt a couple times a few other people in the delmarva series, i grew up around gil and rode with him a couple times, we accually rented seaford for a day and had a blast there a while back, we're planning on renting it again very soon, i cant wait for it.

YLW400
07-21-2004, 11:09 AM
I have heard that name, but I can't picture him..I am sure I will know him if I see him..And you are right, it is addicting... If you come you need to get up with me.! I'll be in a 99 Z-71..with MTR's and American Racing wheels. More than likely I will be parked near JT. If you ever rent Seaford again and need another guy, get up with me....

jrspawn
07-21-2004, 11:57 AM
Hey, if the weather is decent , we'll definetly be there and have to all get together, more htan likely we'll probably try to park around jt. As for seaford, it would be on a thursday, im hoping within two weeks. It was perfect when we rented it before, from 8-5 with the track to yourself, man it awesome, they even let us water it however much and whenever we wanted. I'd like to get a good group together for the next time. Before it was just me, matt, gil, and two other people.

Hey, as of right now i think me and the other guy guying to budds with me might be backing out on the race, due to weather forcast, it will be an over 3 hour ride there, so dont really want to ride all the way there and have it rain, the forcast here looks to be sunny and 77 degree's, the perfect weather, so we might end up going to blue diamond instead, hopefully get more time in on the pro track. JT, you have to come out there sometime with us, that track is pretty awesome, dont know if matt told you already, but i ended busting my freakin swingarm out there, but we did a mad dash that day and finally got me back up and running. I talked to gil today, he was on his way to atco, im gonna try to get him to come out there to blue diamond, we'll see how it go's i guess.

jrspawn
07-22-2004, 06:15 AM
Hey, they let us out on the bike track on saturday for practice for sunday. They were VERY leary about it, thye thought we were gonna just mess the track up, thankfully we had a group of guys out there that proved them wrong. Half the jumps out there they told us were not jumpable by a quad, we prooved them wrong there too. I guess were just gonna end up going to blue diamond sunday, i think they are gonna let us practice more on the bike track since we showed them that quads can do the same stuff i bike can do. Also we are steadily building the atv track up, they are working pretty good with us there. We have quite a few good size jumps, up hill doubles, steps, you name it really, hopefully in a couple months the atv track will be almost as serios as the bike track.

justin

Now only a 20% chance of showers. It could be good if it rains a little that way they don't have to water it...before the quads race....both motos. It can't be worse than the last race a Tomahak after it rained.

For Elkas try Elite ATV and ask for Eric. Tell him that James Poole, Nick and Brian sent you up there. I have bought shocks for my 250R and 450R from him and the rest of the guys have bought shocks for all of their quads. The number is 866.738.3929 and he is a nice guy to deal with.

well, i feel pretty darn sure. I cant really move my right leg, last night on the ride home it started swelling really bad. And this morning, it was stiff as a brick, but i think it will be fine after a few days, a little black and blue also. Havent had a chance to really look at my bike, but when they nloaded it last night they told me the stem is trashed, and the subframe is broke also, hopefully thats it. Over all though, i have to say i love that track, all the elevation changes was something ive never really expierenced.

It was an ok race. Only one other B rider from D-7 showed up. Well I am almost positive I saw Nick at the start standing in the field but he didn't race I think he showed up 15 min late. I feel pretty good this morning but I did waste a tie rod end. I finally put my Cycra hand guards on and I would not be typing this morning without them. The track was very tight and rocky. It did have a couple of sections that were WFO for 1/4 mile runs. The promotors were super nice. Results were up really fast. Oh Andy got third in A. Kyte brothers were 2&3 in Vet and Mike Young was 10 in vet. I didn't see any ohter D-7 quads:confused:

James, I have not called but the young guy that works at Dirtfirst said that the Rocket XC race for this weekend is definately canceled. I know that Eric asked the question on the dis 7 website but I did not see any responses as of last night. The only other XC race I can find is Saturday around Morgantown WV...its the midatlantic HS series or something like that? A little too far for us for a local race.
I guess we'll head out to Tomahawk too. What time do you guys usually get there? We'll probably bring a grill and cook up some lunch.

I may head to Blue Diamond Park in Del. with my son either Sat or Sunday. Or I just may hang out with him on our normal trails??????he's chompin at the bit to get out in the woods. He's bored of just riding his normal 4 acre track around the house. Later!

Chris (RTSE440) and i put the REKLUSE autoclutch into my YFZ last saturday. THe install was fairly simple although the illustration did not match up with the YFZ hardware, the instruction them selves were straight forward and easy to understand. the components were of high quality and well machined. The included perch adjuster wasnt all that. It's a bit clunky and not well thought through. WIth a little more time they couldve come up with a better solution. It sticks out like a sore thumb and when you want to adjust the stall speed the dust booth that comes with it bunches up so you have to keep that greases a little to prevent that. It dosesnt really lock into the existing clutch assembly well so it kind of flops around a bit but that can be helped with a zip tie i guess.
After the very very short break in period i tested her out. it was kind of comical because i went and got my helmet on and we pointed the yfz away from the house toward the corn field just in case the quad woud take off on us. :eek2: Rest assured that i had my thumb on the kill switch. i shifted her in neutral and started her up. i kicked the shift lever into 1st trying very hard to restrain myself from grabbing the clutch out of habbit and low and behold. she idled. COOOOOOOL. i gave her a little thumb and she started pulling away. I can't tell you how weird it is at first not to have to grab clutch. any way. after donning all my gear i took her out into the woods. i did a couple of laps and came back with a big grin on my face. it is so neat not having to worry about stalling when things get tight. the only thing is to make sure you are in low enough gear because the rekluse will let you bully the quad up a steep hill in 4th but youll murder the plates doing that to often. other than that, i have no complaints and i can now go back to stock gearing because i dont need the low gear anymore for the slow stuff. i can recommend this clutch to anybody. its makes life much easier in the tight stuff. Chris and i didnt find that the quad pulled any less hard than it did without the auto clutch so i dont think youll loose any performance.

Then you will get to see how the grow into the monsters they can be:D Naa I am luck my girls are very well behaved they just grew up too damnfast. So enjoy every minute because she will be asking for money in no time:devil:

I might be out of the loop for awile. I am in the middle of an unexpected career change. Me and some other guys got laid off last week and I am not sure wich directon I am going to head but I will find something. I am considering getting some of my surgeries done while I am out of work like my shoulder and my knee's. One good thing is I am getting to spend some time with the kids while they are out of school. I still plan on racing the fall XC races if I don't get the surgeries done now.

Well JT once that baby gets home you'll be a happy man every day when you come home and see her smile at you. It changes your outlook on alot of things in life. I'm not sure on who out of our crue is going to make it to the next race. Cliff has been riding again so he might consider going with me and 88.

I'm taking the last weekend of Sept. off to go to Rausch Creek on Sat. and then ride the coal hills on Sun. I'd def. like to try an xc race with you guys this fall.

Points! Thats a real sore subject on our d-7 website. The harescramble boys really caused a war with that and got a tuff response but did get updated a month or so after that. I have the top 5 totals at work but I know 133,87,187,61 is the order right now. You got me by like 4 points. Nick is in the lead by like 90 over me and Ryan has like 40 over us.
After the last race Jeremy (our rep) said people were crying about some of the leaders. That they should be in B class. I say give us a few more races and we'll be in B class.

Thanks for asking.Wrist is recovering slowly...too much use at work is slowing it down...kinda tough for an HVAC mechanic to take off too much time in the summer. Did ride a little bit last weekend w/ Seatec, but couldn't get too wild...I can't make any hard left turns yet. I'll be back soon...couple more weeks I would imagine. Gotta do a night ride out here before too long...should be fun. Let's make those headlights earn their keep:D .
