Where is everyone riding this weekend. I know it's supposed to rain tonight into tomorrow morning but me and my brother are still gonna try and hit up Tomahawk. I don't know who else is coming. It depends on the weather I guess. I don't care I have a brand new quad just aching to get muddy.:p

Yup, another YFZ red/white. The new one is going to be set up for MX and the old one is going to my GF's for MX. it could double as my woods bike because it needs to be set up pretty soft and i am leaving the Derisis built shocks on the bike. that should work out fine. now all i need is a trailer that can hold 2-3 quads sideways and should not be wider than 7'6" so it can fit in my garage. So if you have a lead on such a trailer, give me a shout.
Anybody ride last weekend? not me cause i had honey do lists !:(

I got out yesterday and put a little time on the new 450R. Man is it a sweet bike. The stock shocks aren't nearly as bad as I thought they would be. A few more rides and I'll be faster on it than I was on my decked out 416.

So, is anyone else gonna be runnin C class for District 7? Im gonna plan on doin as many of them as possible, but also traveling to as many as the nationals as we can. Between myself, matt estepp, nick, and jay we should be entering a wide variety of classes in the nationals. Im still undecided what ill run, im leaning towards the 265 class and 16-24 class. I guess ill just have to see how it plays out.

Seatec I'm not going to smack talk to JC in the off season. I just wanted to force him to come back to racing last year. We had a great race and I'm sure there will be plenty more.
JC I saw Andrew at the last race, still no 450 yet thankfully. I haven't rode since nov. I got the R torn down right now, but come Feb. I am insured once again and have alot of catching up to do.
Justin you will have a blast runnin C being consitant and going to all the races will almost ensure a top 5. Nationals will make you even faster. I plan on going to at least 3 nats this year, but not all the D-7 races.

Hey Eric, Whats going on? Yeah we got him a KTM for Christmas. He loves it but still likes the quads better. How's your little guy doing on that Kasea? Is he racing it again this year? Have you done any work on that thing? I have played with the DRR a bit this winter and he is flying on that thing now. Check him out

I already have the 416 pretty much sold. One of our buddies up in PA has a business where he parts quads out so he said he'd take it. I haven't put a twist on the 450 yet but I have a feeling it won't be long. Unfortunatly the shocks won't work off the 416 but I'm gonna have GT Thunder do the rear and I'll probably break down and get some Elkas for the front. I planned on just getting the bare necessities to race with this quad but I have never been good with money!:D I figure spend it now while I don't have any real expenses.:p

No doubt, it's always nice to have more quad riders around.
I am just waiting for the ground to dry up so I can build the track. I have dirt lined up and we have plenty of equipment to make it happen so it is just a matter of time. I am going to post some pic's of existing and proposed. We can actually ride there now but there are no jumps and the woods prob need to be trimmed a bit.
Yes, the place is Grayson's farm and I have never rode there but i did drive my truck back there one day and people were riding. Email me adam_c@comcast.net and maybe you, eric and I can hook up and head out there. My son is 7. He races a DRR50 but he also has a Predator 90 and a KTM 50.

We can def hook up and let the boys ride. We can head down to my work and they can ride. We have like 5-6 acres they can play on. Here is a picture of what the lay out of the track is right now. I still need to add jumps, etc... and it needs to be leveled out on the back hill a bit. It is 1/2 mile long.
Existing layout (http://community.webshots.com/scripts/editPhotos.fcgi?action=showMyPhoto&albumID=212135855&photoID=250075064&security=VOyUlJ)
Also here is a pic of the first part of the track I am going to build for him to practice on. Eventually I will fill in the entire 1/2 mile with jumps etc... but this is a good start for now.

Hey, The pro trax front end just cost WAY too much money to totally rebuild it, plus all the bushings and sleeves have to be pressed and then reamed, i want arms so if a bushing or hiem goes out at a race, i can replace it right there, not be done for the day and then have to send the arms out to have the bushings replaced. Im the type of person were if i cant work on it myself, it buggs the heck out of me. So im going back to a gibson setup, i had it on my Z and liked the way it felt.

http://www.neufamily.org/truck.html
Yeah I've seen his website before. That motor has a more radical cam, bigger injectors, a supercharger, stall converter and nitrous along with an exhaust. It's not just a truck motor with a supercharger hooked up. There is quite a bit more to it, in order to make that much power. He is running a 75 hp shot to help the turbo spool up on standing starts. If you don't believe me look at the gallery and you can see the bottle in the bed of the truck. Alos on his forum he has just installed a purge valve for the nitrous tank. There has to be more going on in order to smoke that supercharded ZO6. The laptop isn't increasing boost. The lap top allows him to see what air/fuel ratio he is running and if he is hitting his shifts right. The laptop lays out the hp and torque numbers for the whole run. He can pin point if he is shifting to early or late depending on if he is making more power or less power after the shift. The laptop also lets him dial in the cam degree. That truck has a lot more in it than it looks.
http://www.neufamily.org/fastesttruck.wmv Read what it says in white before each run.

Cletus...got me on the juice...didn't notice that before, but you can't run a supercharger AND a turbo...he's got a single turbo. It is still a pretty simple set -up. A cam and injector swap, along with other " bolt-ons" are pretty easy to install. Most exotic part would be the turbo. I was shocked to see that the transmission and transfercase were stock 2500 parts. When you dig into the realm of 10 second machines, this one takes the cake as far as truely being a streetable one. Most cars/trucks in this range are much more radical. I'm not really a Chevy guy, but I'd love to have this parked in my garage :D
BTW...why can't the laptop control boost on a turbo.... all you have to do is send the signal to open the blow-off valve later. Superchargers require a pulley swap, turbos do not.
Now I'd better get to work.:(

Yeah I meant to say turbo in the begining, but you can run a turbo AND a supercharger. The supercharger picks up the slack that the turbo leaves down low. It is called a twincharged system. There is a bunch of information if you search twincharge. But your right this truck just has a turbo and nitrous along with the motor mods. It is definitely a sleeper. I wouldn't expect high 10's from the looks of the truck. The amazing thing about that tranny is it's used and had like 50,000 miles on it.

Cletus....twincharge. You're taking me to school here. I honestly have never heard of this before. I come from the land of large normally aspirated V8's for power, and am just starting to really take an interest in the whole forced induction deal. People in my branch of auto-interests ,( vintage Mopar musclecars ), are just starting to get into all of this. The Supercharger Store is now making kits for big-block Chrysler motors, but there are still some bugs to be worked out. Turbo set-ups, for now, are a custom deal. I need to get a cheap hobby... my car was/is a huge money pit, followed by my quad runnig a close second :D Thanks for the info bud ;)

the real excitement of those 12 second, 8,000 plus pound diesel trucks is riding in one. My buddy has an 02 Ford ext cab 4x4 with all that crazy supercharged, turbo, nitrous, blah blah blah stuff done to it. He says it dyno's around 700 hp:eek2: and some ungodly foot lbs of torque, it runs in the high 12's and he said it will do a little better if he gets rid of his old 33" mud tires and the big tool box in the back. Anyway, I went for a ride the other day and WHOA:eek: holy crap! at 40 MPH in 2wd he stomped it....it poured black smoke from the stacks and broke traction...all sideways down the road until he let off it somewhere around 80. From a dead stop, in 4wd, it smashes you in the seat and there is freekin smoke pouring from all 4 tires and the exhaust and wow what a rush!!!! I can see how they get the diesel bug:D

Probably not till around 5:00 on friday. I didn't think it was that long of a drive but were looking at close to 8 hours. I think it would be a good race, but it is a long drive. When traffic is added in it would be a long drive.

If you like Tomahawk we will have to plan a weekend in WV. My company has a cabin at The Woods which is about 5 minutes from Tomahawk. I will have to book it in advance but it is not usually a problem getting in. We would also have access to indoor pools, hot tub, gym, etc... at the Rec Center for like $5 a day

OK guys i f'ed up. i stripped two bushings on my front Hiper wheel.
How do i get those bushing out and new ones in. already got an email out to Hiper to see what they say.
TO get them out i guess ill screw something in there with a slightly larger socket in between and just keep cranking until it pops out.

Well,, RSTE440 made an intrerresting observation yesterday. He said that my dc4 LT +2 dont look like anything like other pictures of DC4 lt +2 on o ther websites so i called the quadshop and he told me that thats what the invoice said that they where and he doesnt really know what they are suppose to look like since he hardly deals with them. :eek2:
Well, thats sux. SO i send off a couple of pics of mine and some of pictures of the arms that are also suppose to be LT's but they havent gotten back to me yet. Im hoping they just re designed them or something. else i guess ill have to send them back and wait another F'n month for the a-arms. :grr:

I took Friday off so i can devote my entire day to setting up the quad. i hope i have the of the hiper wheel in so i can pu them on as well. it shouodnt make much difference if i used the stock wheels to set up the caster, camber and toe, right?

I battled with him a few times last year until the explosion. My nerfs have battle scars that PC didn't cover.:cuss:
Seatec you should't have to worry about being lapped on big tracks like budds but at the landing its possible.
I wrecked twice during 4 stroke C nat at budds and never got lapped. Man I wish I had. I finally got unstuck and everyone was only a half lap ahead so I easily rode the last 2 laps. The most tiring moto I had last year.
If JC hasn't retired I hope to be pushed by you like I was last year. Or even chasing 187.
