Rough is good as long as the jumps are faced properly. It gets you in shape and it will help set you apart from the other riders. The way Delaware152 goes around that track, you would think there weren't any bumps at all. Having him push me around the track helps. The problem is, he passes me to quick and I have to wait for him to come back around to lap me before he pushes me again. LOL!!!

In shape.... Whats that mean?:D

Im about as far from that as i can get unfortunetly right now:(
But i better step it up a notch very quick, we are leaving for florida in just a few weeks.

Going to possiblly pick up another walsh YZ quad tonight, found one for a pretty good deal, hopefully its not a pile of junk:)

I really wish I could say I was sandbagging but we know that's as far from the truth you can get. When you went by me twice, I had to think for a second if my 450r somehow or another had reverse. Ha!Ha! I was supposed to move into the new house this weekend but the closing got pushed back until next weekend. I think John and I are going to try Elizabeth City on Saturday. It's supposed to be pretty nice there. I did receive some new parts this week and there is more to come.

JRP seaford is like 2.5 to 3 hours away or more depending on traffic. Well worth the drive this time of year, alot of fast riders go there. A few pro's and I hear Pastrana shows up from time to time.

Birch creek this weekend, boy you are making me jealous. The best track I have ever rode/raced. Actiontown rates right up there to. When are ya'll going down Dupontster? Travis wanted to go last week but couldn't find a riding partner. I've gotta keep on top off his riding schedual.haha
Oh yeah anyone going to budds prepare for the most rutted whooped out track you have ever rode. Loretta Lynns qualifier brings in 1000 or so dirt bikes.

Hey Terry, How ya doing....Old man Dup here....Hope you're feeling better...We are leaving early tomorrow morning....Wayne (Gary's friend) is going too....I know it is a long way but I figure he can get some quality riding time down there and who knows, if he likes it, we just might try the Nationals down there....We were going to Budds but they are having that LL qualifier this weekend and we can probably go to Birch Creek and ride all day, stay the night and still be cheaper and get more riding time than what they charge at Budds....Have to buy a weekend pass just to get in today...Just to ride da ruts....We are planning at least 1 Actiontown this year too...Is that closer than Birch Creek? It does get a little boring riding at the same track every weekend. I'm about as ready as I'll ever be. I'm having to make some last minute parts changes but it will be ready. At least I have a nice garage now to work in. So 309 is going to make an appearance. That's going to make for a great A class. I need to try and ride like a mad man but I wasn't feeling it on Sunday. It is a good thing the bike was ok. There's nothing worse than an expensive come off. All the track joking aside you guys did look good out there. Treake you maybe a little off your pace of normal but you did finish 3rd in the second vet moto. I couldn't even run 4 motos in one day so don't down yourself to much. To run half as fast as JT in two motos is an accomplishment in my books. Jt and Gil were smokin in both motos, and to see Gil pull a little distance in moto 2 was a shock to us. At least we know you are human, until your boondocker equiped C-dale crashed and recovered to destroy the Vet class. You guys get healed up, The Nats will be here soon. D7...I don't know what I did but my back started hurting back in the 2nd A moto and that's when I backed off. I don't know if I was going to pass him but it was fun racing that close.

Treake....The ICY Hot patches with Aleve work well on the back. I am not sure what I am doing this weekend it depends on how I feel. Sometimes riding works the pain out.

I forgot about the icy hot patches. I'm going to try and get some this evening and see if that helps. I'm starting to try and stretch a little to see if that helps work it out. I'm definitely taking this weekend off from riding and johnexrider is still trying to repair his quad from where he got creamed from behind by someone that didn't know where their brakes were located so they used the back of his quad.

there seems to be a common theme here with the vet class riders and back pain. i will have to try the icy/hot patches and aleve too.

I've got just what you guys need to forget the back pain. These little white pills with M359 on them that will take that away. They will take worries away to and put a smile on your face to. It just takes a doctors visit or 5 to get them.

I don't think you need to drink anything with what I got.
Paul I highly doubt you are as slow as you might be feeling at the moment. How do you think these pro-am riders feel not qualifying for pro class this year. Pro am and A at the nats are fast as h3ll. You belong up there, you just need to get back on that bike and ride. Remeber you have a big cheering section that will cheer no matter how your doing. I do hope to see you and JT battling for the lead in pro-am.

Delaware152
03-24-2006, 07:29 PM
I can make a safe bet you won't my myself and Paul battling for the lead in Pro-Am...I am all but certain I am not racing it this year. I would probably run Unlimited on Sunday but I want to race 2 other classes also. I know there is no way I can race 4 motos on Sunday with 2 of them Pro Am. I don't like the new format. The only people it helps are the Pros. Look at the guys in there on Sat. Then on Sunday you have the six or eight that didn't qualify for the pro class. The only way it could help is if you are only racing both Pro Am's...I don't think I have that in me.

D-7#61-450r
03-25-2006, 06:48 AM
Yeah 4 motos would wear the best of them out. It sucks to hear that you will not be running it this year. With good track conditions I would like to see how the 2 of you would do. Last year the track sucked and both of ya'll did great.
Is Gil running anything at Budds?

Hey to all you MD guys and gals. Im out here in the western part of the state. Just thought Id let ya know bout some riding out this way. There is a couple guys out here with tracks. My cousin is an amateur MX rider and has a full track at his house that is wicked. Chad Wages #444. He told me I can come over anytime and ride with some buddies. Also one of my buddies and me built a small track in a field of his dads. About a dozen or more of us ride down there every sunday. Hillclimbs, track with a table top and a couple doubles. Some muddy areas, and dragway over 1/3mile. Also right across the West Va state line, goin 81 south, there is a town called Falling Waters. If you get off at the exit, hang a left, go back under 81 and down on the left about 1/2 mile or so there is a place called Sportsmans Paradise. All kinds of riding back in there. ITs right down by the potomac. You can ride the train track trails, or ride the MX track. ACross the street is my other cousins house, we have built a track around the outside of his property with some whoops, a coupel doubles, singles, and a massive tabletop. Also out in the western part of the state there is some good riding in the mountains in state parks. Me and a buddy are planning a ride out there sometime end spring early summer or late summer early fall. Anyone that is interested let me know

Hey man I live right off Picnic Woods Road, on Hunt Valley Court. I ride right off of Rt 17 down right as u cross the bridge comin outta middletown on the left. We ride almost every sunday. Small track down by the way creek, some hill climbs, and a dragway. There is a couple other places around the area but I dont know the people who ride. Alot of high school kids. they are pretty much all that i ride with. Plus I go up to Falling Waters, WV and ride at my cousins house cuz he has some good wooded trails and a track around the outside of his yard.

Delaware152,

Under 5K, I don't believe Paul will even respond to that.
What Treake said is true, Nick has to wait for the swelling to go down before they will even put a cast on his ankle. His knee turn out is actually more or less just reflammed from a crash at action town last year. That looks like It could be a worse case scenerio, Probally knee surgery.
I really have the erge to ride again, but not to sure if my shoulder can take it, so I have to play it safe. How many one armed mechanics do you see making any money?

D-7#61-450r
06-18-2006, 07:08 PM
Maybe heals wounds, but a stolen quad has to give one seriously bad taste. Keep a lookout and you may find a good deal on a descent 450, I just don't think you'll find any full mx ready quads. I've heard of yfz's in close to stock form going for 3500. Thats not a bad start.

Nick shupe
10-11-2006, 03:39 PM
Yep, I had surgury the 28th of Sep. It will be Two weeks tomorrow. I went to my frist physical therapy appointment today and they gave me some exersize's to do and said that everything is looking good so far and it feels good to I just have to really take my time with this one though, the doc told me no running for six mouths so I'm hoping to be back there within 6 to 8 mouths.

That's good to hear. I have been there before you have to take it easy. I broke my wrist in 97 and was basically done racing for the season. I starting riding about 5 months later but didn't race much. I actually had good luck this year and my bike stayed together most of the time. I think next year the A class is going to be larger.

Hey Shupe,

How's therapy goin? I'm in my last few weeks now and supposed to get fitted for the mx brace next month. Hopefully I'll be able to get it back in shape enough to start again in March. Good luck!

ESrider,

The physical therapy is going real good the therapist said my knee is coming along real good I go back Tuesday for my second appointment. Let me ask you a question when you say that you're getting fitted for a brace is you're doctor prescribing the brace because I was going to ask my doctor if she proscribe me a real good knee brace so that the insurance would pay for it. I just don't know if they do that because I have an HMO kaiser and they are cheep.

Hey Nick...Sorry to change the subject but what happened Sat night at Millers...Did the track manager win again?

ESrider
10-16-2006, 04:19 AM
Definitely ask your doctor about a brace, my doctor is prescribing mine, but he doesn't actually handle it himself. The orthopedic center where I go has a doctor that handles all of the brace fittings. I asked for the same reason as you, I wanted my insurance to pay for it if possible and they will as long as it's a prescribed brace. I'm lucky my doctor deals with CTi. If you don't have any luck let me know and I'll get you the name of my doctor and the one that takes care of all the braces.

I don't know who is going to be up there this weekend I don't know if Ian is working but if he's off I would bet he'd be up there. Man you guys messed it sat. night Ian slammed into the back of Aj in the second moto on the frist lap, Ian got his quad free from Aj and took off Aj on the other hand couldn't get his quad started so he had to push start it. Ian didn't slam into the back of him om purpose Aj just brake cheak him when he new that Ian was write on his grab bar. Aj got last but his buddy # 4 took the win and Danny beat a built YFZ and a LTR to the frist turn in the frist moto witch was awasome, other than that it was a nice night.

Let me start by saying I was down in Tapp. when the deal went down I had nothing to do with the purchase of this one this is pops bike my backup backup if need be. It's a 05' Walsh frame, subframe, freash powdercoat, custom axis suspension,Walsh swing arm, air box, walsh steering stem, Walsh raditor, and Walsh plus 3 A-arms and it's all in great condtion to which is awesome. But like I said this pops quad I still have to build my other Lonestar baja bike which will be in the works hear soon.

If the C-Dales sell but that is a BIG if. You would think somebody out there would pay $4000 for them. If they sell I am switching if not it's not the end of the world.

You don't have to spend the same amount of money on aftermarket parts to set it up as to what the bike costs new.

That's right. If your going to ride a Suzuki, It should be the Suzuki colors. Be proud of what your riding. Ha!Ha! Actually, I just think it looks better for some reason. Maybe it's because there are so many white ones out there.

Delaware152
10-27-2006, 10:58 AM
I guess since I still ride a C-Dale I shouldn't care what color Suzuki I ride.lol

10-27-2006, 12:32 PM
We can always just put the Suzuki plastic on the Dale. That way, appearance wise, you are riding a different bike. Ha!Ha!

Come on now. I know this is all just a front. The real scoop is that since you had all that glory back in the day you are actually switching back up to the green. Some of the same features as the dale, Aluminum frame, 450.lol
Bad news for all A riders is that new quads = no hopes on quad breaking down for 152. Sounds like alot of practice is in the winter off season.

Pappy
10-29-2006, 07:12 AM
The KTM may be the next quad I buy for myself, looks like I have a little over a year to save up:devil:

By that time the LTR will fade, the new Kawi will have shown to be weak in the back bone:chinese: and I will atleast look good until the gate drops:D
