New
England ATV Motocross Pro-Am Class - Round 1 - Walden MX |
The Pro-Am racers were up next on the gate and were looking to make their mark on the Walden MX course as well. This time, with 15 racers, the action was sure to be fired up!

#969 Travis Moore also earned the win in the Pro-Am Class despite some clutch tuning issues at Walden MX |
#969 Fly Racing’s Travis Moore wouldn’t settle just for a win in the Pro class, as he came out swinging for the fences in the Pro-Am Open class as well. Moore would have the same clutch issues as he did in the Pro class moto one, but would still come away with a 2nd place finish in the first Pro-Am race. Moore got a good mid pack Holeshot and quickly worked his way up to the front runner, Deroy, who had gained a sizable lead on everyone else. Moore and Deroy would go head to head leading into the second to last lap, but while attempting to make a pass for the lead, Deroy and Moore would connect sending Moore a bit skewed to the side allowing Deroy to slip away. Moore’s ATV would then hit a false neutral in between 2nd and 3rd gear nearly resulting in a crash in the quad-pack section before the finish line. Luckily for Moore, he was able to correct the issue and get back on pace and maintain his 2nd place ride for the moto.

#227 Jayden Hickson grabbed the Pro-Am Holeshot in Moto 2 at Walden Playboys MX on his SSi Decals backed Honda 450R ATV |
When moto two of the Pro-Am class rolled around Moore would put his BCS Performance Can-Am right to the front of the pack off the Holeshot tucking into 2nd place behind #227 Jayden Hickson who would actually snag the Holeshot Moore would turn on the afterburners and make quick work of Hickson and begin to pull away from the remainder of the pack. Moore then continued on and kept his nose clean for the rest of the race up until the final lap when he would be thrown completely off the ATV in the back section. Moore miraculously was able to run beside his machine, jump back onto it, and take back off again while still maintaining his first place position to take the overall win.

#70 Mathieu Deroy also earned second place in the NEATV-MX Pro-Am Class |
#70 Ultimate ATV / Kutvek’s Mathieu Deroy would again come away with a 2nd place overall finish, his second podium of the day, this time in the Pro-Am class. Deroy’s first moto went off without a hitch aboard his brand new Can-Am DS450 ATV as he would immediately take control of the race by taking the Holeshot and then continue to dominate the race. Deroy then came under attack towards the end of the first moto as Moore mounted a charge towards the front. Luckily after some bar banging into one of the last corners, Deroy was able to maintain his position and finish the moto in first place.

#99 Mark Gehring placed 7th overall in the NEATV-MX Pro-Am Class |
Deroy’s hopes for a Pro-Am overall for the day would soon be dashed as the pack charged into the first corner of the second Pro-Am moto. Deroy would collide with #99 Mark Gehring into the first corner and then get a Huck-a-buck off a hole in the ground and be thrown from his quad. Luckily Deroy’s tether switch was still on and he simply hopped back onto the machine and continue on his way. Deroy had his work cut out for him starting in the back of the pack. He would then slice-and-dice his way up to 3rd place for the moto to come away with a very well deserved 2nd place podium finish in the Pro-Am class.
