Its a studio I own and setup in my garage. The backdrop is 9ft wide so I can fit bikes and quads into it. Glad u like it.

So Far I like them alot, they have good bite in the mud over the stock tires that came on the bike. Places I would have problems before I can go right through now. As for wear I really could not tell you yet as I only have maybe 10 days riding time on them so far.

Well so far I have not been in alot of rocks except a small trail that use to be train tracks. Most of the stuff I have been riding in is hard pack dirt or mud. They are alot better in the mud than my stock tires ever were. They also seam to do pretty good on the hard pack, probably about the same as the factory tires that were on it. I really still have not noticed any wear on them at all and they have no cuts or digs in them.

Bought a motor from a guy. 440 kit stg 2 cam white bro's rev box , pro circuit T-4 pipe and a bigger oil tank. head gasket was leaking so i tore down the top end.. cleaned up the carbon put new gaskets in checked it all out and fired it up last night.. Going riding tomorrow :D :D

If you are only going to be doing a few things here and there to me it would not be worth the money and learning curve it takes to figure out all the little kinks. It is definately not as easy as it looks. I'm still far from perfect. I'll get a fish eye or a little piece of lint in it from time to time.

You can not do this in your house or in the oven that you cook food in big no no. So you have to have a shop or garage that is wired with 220 and a spare oven or two in my case.

I priced from a local place for Sh*ts and giggles today. For me to take 4 wheels have them blast and powder with a basic black nothing fancy $440. 3 days wait. The equipment you need to set everything up to powder coat, assuming you would be starting from scratch with nothing, would cost you well more than that.

I'm running stock pegs, and I've noticed things get sorta scary when my boots get muddy and I'm leaning into a turn really hard. I think I need to upgrade, but I'm not to savvy on spending $200+ for new pegs.

They are actually AC Racing Pro Pegs. They come with the AC Racing Black Line Nerfs. Great Product just beware of their instructions, they are a little tricky to understand. I hope I helped AC Racing out a little by writing a verson of instructions that was a little eaiser for me to understand and comprehend.
I then e-mailed them to Eric thier tech guy and he asked if I would mind him using them I said NOT AT ALL! We will see all I can do is hope that I helped a little.

$50 Nope not at all. They are great especially like you said when your boots are muddy and you are leaning hard or landing from a jump your feet stay planted on the pegs.

Just bought it last week for $1000 and put $800 into it.

00' 400EX, 12.5:1 Wiseco 440 kit, stage 2 hotcam, DG exhaust (junk), Renthal sprockets, Tusk nerfs, Tusk front bumper (not shown), G Force Extended rear hubs, Acerbis Rally handguards, new grips, Moose handlebars, DID Gold x-ring chain, Shockwears Tribal shock covers, all new brakes, Some kind of double wide bearing carrier (found that out when I bought stock bearings and they were too narrow...lol), fresh top end, 21x12-9 Mudsharks, 21x7-10 Razr2's (didnt put on yet, waiting for these ones to wear out 1st), and I think thats about it for now.

Not too bad for a 9yr old quad. Im gonna throw a little bit more into it, probably suspension wise. The front suspension sucks on these things. And probably an extended swingarm. The front end doesnt like to stay on the ground when hillclimbing. And definitely a new exhaust. The DG sounds like crap...lol

I want a deep throaty sounding exhaust. What do you guys recommend??

FYI Your Blackline Nerfs are on wrong. Your foot pegs that bolt to the frame should be flipped over. The frame of the nerfs will hit the ground if you jump since they are now below the frame of the 4 wheeler.

This winter I'm going to powdercoat the arms, bumper,grab bar and sub frame. What do you guys think about flat or gloss black? My frame is gloss. Would probably do the sub in gloss. The rest I was thinking flat.
Also getting new nerfs, front shock rebuild and a 3 degree key from Wheelie when he gets them cut.

That sucks about ruining it... I know how you feel. I had this awesome picture of my 400 on my phone. It was all clean and new looking sitting on a snowy back in the early morning by the creek. i loved that pic most of all the ones I have I used it as my background for almost 2 years... but my phone got stolen during pe. of course I never could figure out how to get the pic on to the computer.
Now some little punk or most likely a punkette has 3 years of videos and pics priceless to me. Vids I can never get back.

You guys really suck. Looking through this entire thread made me miss my 400ex days so after the 450 gets its motor rebuilt the 400ex is going to be redone so I can have something that is fun and easy to ride.... and hopefully not run on race fuel. Sad to say the last time it was ridden was September 2007, since then it has been sitting in the corner of the garage and I think it is about time for it to come out with the others. I'm thinking some stock style blue (find pics of my 450 and you will know why, I like everything to match) maiers, some powdercoating and some other stuff. What is the highest compression ratio to run on pump gas? It has an 11:1 in it now. Here is a pic of what she used look like before the 250R and the 450R showed up at my house.

i don't mean to jump in on this but i've got to say something. What are you gonna do when that tree jumps out in front of you, you fly over the bars, and paint that tree with your brain matter? I was stupid at one time and didn't wear my helmet, but one flip changed that. It only takes one mistake and its over, hopefully you won't have to find out the hard way

With that said.....if you're gonna ride without a lid, don't post pics, it'll cause less problems and we can get back to lookin at everyone's quad.

I have a WB E series, and I like how it sounds, I like the idle sound and through the revband, but then my buddy passes me on his predator with an HMF and mucccccch more manly tone, and completely drowns out my E series, which up until then I thought was loud lol. In video, the E series sounds kind of whiny at top rpm, not sure if thats just the 400ex engine or the pipe, if I bought one myself I think id go with the HMF. God damn it is loud though, but awesome. The E series is cool though since you can get like 12 power adjustments, as opposed to 2 with the HMF (quiet core and not quiet core). We can hear the HMF miles away, its awesome.

I'm pretty happy with my E-Series. Sounds good and not really all that loud to me. I've heard much louder. I really do like the sound of the HMFs, though. I'd sell mine for an HMF in a heart beat.

the reason for the bowed in front tire is my wheel is bent bad. I have new ones on the way and right after xmas ill have a lonestar +4 axle, silver plastics and new seat, and 8x8 turf tamers for it also. Im keeping the stockers for when i ride around in trails. Gonna put some old school grooved radials on the new fronts im getting

It makes such a difference it's crazy. Only things I really plan on still getting are some extended hubs, air scoops and a front bumper. I don't think I am going to get into the engine unless I fall into some extra cash.
