I will try to get some more pics of my quad. The front end is our Houser Racing +3 LT Slicast A-arms with Fox Float X Evol shocks. I did some measurements and went though all the details with Shane at Fox and we decided on part number 830-10-204. The fornt end works so nice. It did take some adjusting on the shocks as they are made for a Walsh 450R front end, but the end results were great. I am also running our Houser Racing Stock height Steering Stem, Houser Racing 7/8" bar clamp and Renthal TRX bend bars. I haven't had hardley any arm pump with this setup, it helped a lot. I'm looking to try out some FLEXX Bars soon. Thanks for the positive comments guys!

Going from the W.B. E-Series to the HMF I can say that the gains are way more when it comes to torque. Very nice pipe.

Thanks...cant wait until i get my front brakes done so i can take it to the track...I'm going crazy not riding right now. (my right front caliper would not bleed out so i said forget it and bought all new front brake components...everything else is aftermarket.

Love the pipe... sounds nice...it's not loud from behind but from the side and riding it...it's pretty loud. I gained 4 hp at the rear wheels on. On a car dyno. No engine mods yet. planning on a ct racing 440 kit. unless someone suggests something else. CT is for sure doing my head work. Thanks for the compliment...Hopefully i'll have new pictures this week.

its going to cost me 470...I'm having a local shop do all my front brake work...I don't have a garage or the time right now. the local dealership is going to sponsor me next year so im getting parts for cost...that price is not cost though. And the dealer ordered everything so im not positive on a brand...Pathetic i know. I did everything else though.
I forgot to add...i will let you know though tomrrow hopefully. That's when it should be done and Wednesday is it's first day on the track I'm pumped!

i did the msd at the same time as the bore kit cam and 450r carb and all that so i don't know.

i don't think it gives andy power butt it might make the throttle response better.

Here's a few pics of my ride ('05). I recently added a full HMF, EHS airbox lid and UNI filter. I got her out today for some test riding after my initial re-jet. She ran and sounded FANTASTIC! No hesitation, bogging or backfiring whatsoever--just some bouncing off the rev limiter.

I need to take her back out and do a plug chop and then I'll put the plastics back on after I'm sure that I have her dialed in properly. Man I love that HMF sound!

Now I'm saving to upgrade her suspension...

My ultimate plan is to go with +1 Houser a-arms and a stock length Houser swimgarm and some type of compression and rebound adjustable shock--Motowoz, Axis, Ohlins, Elka, hard to say at this point. I had contemplated an "LT" front setup but have decided that the extra money that would require would be better spent elsewhere--like on a set of HiPers. To be honest, the swingarm is not really needed. I just want one.

This winter I'd like to do a total disassembly and get the frame gusseted and powdercoated. I'm sure my suspension mods will not get done before then.

After I get the suspension squared away I'll start looking into some engine mods.

from reviews i've read and info i have heard. I would not buy a pair of I shock shocks...If I was to do it again I think I would try Motowoz...They are going to become one of the leading contenders and they are some sweet looking shocks that supposivly have an impressive ride...

I don't have nearly as many hours on it as I'd like (I'm still running the stock tires for crying out loud). My work schedule doesn't lend enough time for me to get out much, and when I do, I mainly ride the fields around my house, generally avoiding tearing things up and making a muddy mess of things lest I piss off the people on whose land I ride. And when she does get dirty, I do my best to put her away clean.

I'm hoping to have some time this fall and do some real riding instead of just goofing around the house.

Yeah I've sort of looked at the iShock package, but I think that I'm set on the Houser arms.

There's a local shop (with a Liberty phone number) which I saw an ad for in the back of Dirt Wheels. Supposedly they are suspension experts. I'm thinking about hitting them up for some advice on shocks when I get some spare cash in my pocket.

I don't need a 450R. The 400EX has to be the most reliable quad out there and is simple to work on and maintain. I only ride trails so my quad is more than adequate for me. Thanks for the compliments though!

Light covers that were cut. The outside ring part is what is holding it on. Just the inside part was cut.

nope , it is a 450r muffler with the carb jetted to except it

oh it looks really nice. now i have an idea to paint my exhaust silver with high temperature paint. i'll post pictures when i'm done if anyone cares to see how it turns out

Thanks,and about the air scoops... i haven't really noticed anything personally. i doubt it does anything major, but then again it does direct alot of air and with an air cooled motor every little bit helps. they're mainly for looks. IMO the 400ex looks too empty towards the front with out scoops up there.

ill be getting new tires in a couple of months (ITP GNCC) , as for the yellow it kinda matches the sticker kit on the bike . . thank god the wife aint yelling at me so far for working on the bike all the time :D

Man I like how your so confident about your quad. IMO opinion you do only have most of them beat. If your taste is put as much "stuff" on one as posible, then great. But man I ain't saying mine looks better, but I'm not saying it looks worse.

I'll defnitely get some updated pics soon once I am done swapping out the bottom end. I am putting an 05 bottom end in with reverse. My tranny was starting to go!

Wow I have never heard anyone say that before about Laker Custom Plastics. I think lakers are the best for the price. I do like fullbore a little better, but they are pretty pricey. Laker Customs IMO are all around the best plastics on the market and I don't think too many people would disagree. They are also a site sponsor.:macho
