Wallkill, NY - The eleventh stop for the New England ATV MX Series
was at the famous Walden Playboy MX Track in Wallkill,
NY. Our weekend would be blessed with great weather
with temps in the low 90’s on Friday and
Saturday but the weather would thankfully cool
off for Sunday’s motos.
Even though the mercury was dropping slightly,
the action on the track was not as Yamaha/Canada’s
Jasmin Plante would come away with the overall
win in the both the Pro and the Pro-Am classes.
Can-Am/BCS’ Cody Miller would take home
second place while Motoworks’ Joe Haavisto
would recover from his crash at round 10 to
come home with dual third place finishes!

AM prior to the motos |
Unfortunately we in the NEATV-MX family have
had a few too many memorial laps this season
for fallen riders in our series. At Walden,
we had another lap. This lap was in remembrance
of Women’s racer Angie Maher who lost
her life at round 10 of the series. A beautiful
procession of riders all the way from the 50cc
class up through the Pro ranks were in the double-file
line which stretched all the way through the
back sections and around to the finish line
area. After the ceremony practice would immediately
get underway followed by the first motos of
the day.
Pro Moto one would launch off the line and
see the Can-Am of BCS Performance racer Myles
Santaniello launch off the line to grab the
holeshot just ahead of Yamaha’s Jasmin
Plante who would soon pass Santaniello and lead
the first lap. Santaniello would go on to finish
the moto in fourth place behind Joe Haavisto
and teammate Cody Miller.

Myles
Santaniello has been coming on strong
all year & at Walden he proved his
worth as he grabbed the holeshot during
Pro moto one to lead the pack into the
first corner! |
Jasmin Plante would put his Performance Ultimate
Yamaha up front early on in the 8-lap race and
would go on to lead the entire moto for the
win. Plante said; “I really like the new
track changes that they made for this race and
the conditions were good the whole weekend.
I felt really fast today on the track and my
quad was running great with no problems”.

Jasmin
Plante has been training very hard for
the upcoming Supermotocross de Montreal
on October 1-2nd & it was apparent
as he came out swinging durin the first
Pro races on Sunday to come away with
the overall victory! |
Moto two for Plante was slightly different
as he was third out of the hole with Jason Connell
blasting the holeshot followed by Cody Miller.
Both Miller and Plante would find their way
around Connell before the end of the race which
allowed Plante in finish in second place for
the moto. Plante’s 1-2 finish would be
good enough for him to take his first overall
win of the weekend and solidify his second place
in the points chase for the Pro Championship
as well.
BCS/Can-Am racer Cody Miller, despite feeling
severely ill this weekend, put on a great performance
at Walden to come away with two second place
overall finishes on the weekend. In the first
moto, Miller would come off the line in the
top 5 and work his way up and battle with teammate
Santaniello and finish just behind fellow Can-Am
racer Joe Haavisto in third place for moto one.

Cody
Miller wasn't feeling quite himself for
this race but he did not let his illness
get in his way as he still was able to
put a hurtin' on the rest of the Pro pack
to come away with a 2nd place overall
finish and retain his Pro points lead! |
Moto two for Miller would go much better for
him as he would slot into second place out of
the holeshot behind Connell and do battle for
much of the early part of the 8-lapper before
taking over the lead. Miller would then begin
to check out on the rest of the field before
being chased down by Jasmin Plante. Forunately
for Miller, Plante was not able to get around
him. Miller would finish the day going 3-1 for
second place overall. “I’m feeling
really sick right now and my body is completely
drained of energy. Luckily i was able to still
pull out a couple of good finishes today and
keep my points leads alive!” said Miller
after the event.
