Motoworks/Can-Am’s Joe Haavisto would
make a comeback for round 11 and come away with
a third place finish in both the Pro and Pro-Am
class as well. Haavisto would suffer a nasty
crash at round 10 at Jolly but would redeem
himself by going 2-5 at Walden for third overall.
Moto one for Haavisto went well as he would
come off the line in good position and hold
onto second place until the checkered flag flew.

Joe
Haavisto was out to for redemption from
his gnarly crash at round 10 at Jolly
as he & his Can-Am went for an airborne
tumble out of the holeshot. He came back
to take a 3rd overall finish in not only
the Pro class but the Pro-Am class as
well! |
Haavisto would then come off the line for the
second Pro moto in the top 5 and would go on
to take fifth place in the moto as well. He
would do battle with Nate Morello and Jason
Dunkelberger as he made his way up through the
pack to complete the race in fifth place. “
I got pretty banged up at Jolly at the last
round but I was able to come out here and hang
onto a couple third place finishes so I’m
happy for that!” said Haavisto after the
race.
Jason Connell had some extra support for round
11 as his GetDirtyMX.com crew was out in full
force. Connell would go on to finish fifth in
his first moto and third place in his second
moto. His 5-3 finish was good enough for fourth
place overall but his top 5 finishes would not
come without battles for the entire moto. “I
got some good starts and didn’t have any
mix-ups with anyone so it was a nice clean race.
Plante and I battled pretty good there for a
few spots and I can’t wait to race against
him again when we go to the Montreal Supercross
this next weekend. It’s my first race
there and I’m really excited!” said
Connell after the event.

as he and Honda mounted Nick Moser would come
together after Moser would be ejected from his
quad on one of the triple jumps in the back
section. Pilotte finished in sixth place overall
going 11-4 on the day.

The Pro-Am class races were up next and would
offer the racers an opportunity to one-up their
fellow racers once again, this time with only
6-lap races and more racers, the pressure would
be even greater!
