Josh Creamer &
Jason Dunkleberger Dominate at Glen Helen
::Continued::
Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson got off to a third
place start in Moto one behind Justin Noss, but
after several laps of battling, Nelson made the
past for the second spot, and he began his charge
after Creamer, but he wasn’t able to close
the gap enough before the checkered flag.

Dustin Nelson dealt with plenty of pressure
this weekend as he charged his way into
the 2nd spot both Motos to claim second
overall |
In the second Moto, Nelson got off to a descent
start, but once again he had to work his way up
into the second spot while Creamer pulled away
from the field, which left Nelson with a 2-2 finish
for second overall. It might not be a win, but
with Creamer not running for points, it has Nelson
leading the points over his rivals, which is exactly
what he needed to start off the season defending
his title.
MCR / Maxxis’ Beau Baron has committed
to racing Quadcross Series for 2010 after dabbling
with the series in the past with mixed results
because he didn’t have a built engine for
motocross, so over the winter, he hooked up with
Mark Baldwin to build him a engine capable of
running with the lead pack, and he did exactly
that in both Motos.

MCR
/ Maxxis' Beau Baron claims his third straight
podium finish of the year between the ITP
Quadcross & WORCS Series, where is he
currently tied for the points lead with
Can-Am Motoworks' Josh Frederick |
Beau Baron came out in the top five both Motos,
and each time, he worked his way up into the third
spot behind Dustin Nelson, and stayed within a
few seconds of Nelson nearly the entire Moto,
but never really challenged Nelson for the position.
Regardless, Beau’s Quadcross Podium finish
is a career first, and I am certain it won’t
be his last of the season.

#19 Jason Dunkleberger just missed the Podium
with a 4th overall finish |
Golden West Cycle’s Jason Dunkleberger was
the busiest racer of the weekend as he was the only
racer to compete in both the Pro Production and
Open Pro Class, and it showed that he has been doing
some training over the winter as he battled his
way to a fourth place finish in the Pro Production
Class with not much rest between Motos.
Big Kid Racing’s Jason Fife rounded out
the top five, which wasn’t bad considering
his YFZ450R was built the day before the race,
so he didn’t have much seat time on his
ride before the race,

Racing's Justin Noss claimed a fifth place
finish in the 2nd Moto |
Both Justin Noss and Justin Waters had their
share of issues in Moto one. Justin Waters chain
wrapped around his counter shaft, which caused
enough damage to sideline him for both Motos.
As for Noss, he also ran into chain issues in
Moto one after battling with Nelson for the 2nd
spot early in the race, but in the second Moto,
he rebounded to claim a firth place finish
