#3 Beau Baron will be racing both the Quadcross
& WORCS Series in 2010 |
Also, we spotted Maxxis’ Beau Baron running
some new Maxxis Razr X branded tires, which appeared
very similar to the standard Razr, but with larger
quantity of smaller lugs, so it will be interesting
to see when these new tires will be released. We
also noticed some new DWT wheel mud plugs on Beau’s
quad, so their were plenty of new products being
tested at the Yamaha / ITP Quadcross opening round.
With just over 170 entries, the opening round
of the Yamaha / ITP Quadcross was down by over
25% from the previous year, and neither the Pro
Production or Open Pro classes had a full gate,
which shows how the economy is putting the brakes
on racing as both Can-Am and Polaris will not
be sponsoring any pros at the ITP Quadcross Series
this year, so it will be interesting to see if
there is a similar reduction in attendance at
the ATV Motocross Nationals.

Suzuki's
Josh Creamer grabbed the Holeshot in both
Pro Production Motos with his Yoshimura
Powered LTR450 ATV |
Despite a smaller crowd of racers, the racing
still proved to be exciting, especially with Josh
Creamer making his racing debut on the Suzuk LTR450
Quad Racer. It was apparent right out of the gate
that Creamer was right at home on his new ride
as he grabbed the Holeshot in both Motos, and
held the lead from start to finish.

#9
Josh Creamer remained unchallenged both
Motos to secure the overall win, and based
on his showing at Glen Helen, he is a serious
threat for the win at Mill Creek as well,
but he will surely be up against some stiffer
competition, so time will tell |

Josh Creamer had plenty to smile about after
getting his checks totaling $1,600 |
In the first Moto, Yamaha’s Dustin Nelson
closed the gap on Creamer to just a few seconds
toward the end of the race while Creamer cruised
to the win, but in the second Moto, Creamer stayed
on the gas from start to finish and held a 13 second
lead over Nelson at the checkered flag. For Suzuki’s
Josh Creamer took home a healthy $1,600 in combined
earnings for his Pro Production Win and the GYTR
/ Yamalube Holeshot award.
