Moto
2 proved to be just as exciting as Moto
1 with John Natalie & Chad Wienen battling
for the win. Wienen recorded the fastest
laptime of the Moto in lap 10 as he charged
in behind Natalie, but once again, Natalie
was up for the challenge as he recorded
his fastest laptime of the race to hold
off Wienen for a perfect 1-1 weekend |
“I have to take my hat off to Chad. I had
a ten second lead and he caught me. I worked hard
and I’m hoping to win again next race. I
had a great race out there and I think we put
on a good show for everyone. It was great to hear
everyone cheering us on out there. I have to thank
everyone for helping us get to where we are,”
said an excited Natalie.

John
Natalie wasn't the only one going 1-1 at
Ballance Moto-X as his wife, Michelle Natalie,
also claimed the Wonen's Class Win by also
going 1-1 after an intense battle with Heather
Byrd for the Moto 2 win |

Can-Am
/ Motoworks' Chad Wienen didn't get off
to a great start as he did at the previous
two rounds as he got off to a mid-pack start
& it took Wienen till lap 7 to move
up to the 2nd spot past Upperman |
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Chad Wienen, who took the
ATVRiders.com fastest qualifier award, didn’t
get the start he was hoping for in the first moto
as he was in sixth place off the line. Wienen was
soon challenging Jeremy Lawson and Harold Goodman,
and made his way around both of them in lap three,
and then went after Devin Heimes. It only took one
lap before Wienen made the pass and began to chase
down the leaders.
By the fifth lap, Wienen had caught up to Upperman
and Natalie. Wienen kept the pressure on Upperman
but Upperman wasn’t going down without a fight
and the pair battled hard for a lap before Wienen
got by and began to close the gap on his teammate,
Natalie. Wienen caught up and the battle for first
began, but he was not able to take away the lead
from Natalie and finished in a very close second.
“I didn’t get the start I wanted,
but I gave it everything I had and caught up to
John, but he made it hard for me so I am happy
to take second this moto, but I’m going
for the win in moto two,” said Wienen.
