crashed last sunday.hit a railroad rail head on,cut my lonestar +2s in half and ripped them right out of the mounts.snapped the shock in half.broke my foot again,tore my mcl again and none of this is whats bothering me

start looking on ebay for a frame and i find this joker.i can get a brand new one on hondapartshouse.com for $670 plus shipping.$600 plus shipping for a used frame that looks like that?so i call this guy to see if its made out of titanium or something and he tells me they retail for $1200 something and dealer cost is $900 something new.WTF? its still a used frame plus look at it.so i call my local honda shop binghamton honda up in ny and they're like oh man its goona be expensive,i said yea i know that's y i don't buy things from u guys anymore but humor me.guy says oh not that bad $830????pretty much every other used frame in the galaxy generally goes for around $200 give or take from what i've seen.even ones ya know not all surface rust looking like crap some even have fresh paint.the answer for today is people.what a joke.

lol i was on match.com for a while last year but didnt pay for it so i didnt get anything out of it really. my neck of the woods doesnt really have a lot of people on it without a reason for being there.

maybe one day i will get back into it, right now, i want to get done with school and get situated somewhere i can have a relationship and move ahead easier together with being done with school.

i travel home and such on the weekends, when im not riding at school on something or studying so it doesnt leave much time. I would find someone at school but ill be leaving in may so im not going to. i dont want to make the trip still when im done, its only 3 hours but it gets old making the trip on the weekends to go visit someone.

Came down hard on the quad yesterday off a step up. Bars SMASHED me in the stomach right at the waist on my right side and smacked me in the solar plexus as well.

its unfortunate that even after talking weekly to try to get to know her better, she never really took interest. her two worries were not knowing each other enough and the distance. 3 days spent together talking doesnt classify itself as knowing someone enough to know if you would be interested for some people i suppose.

it was enough for me to know that i would like to get to know her better and thats all that counts.

i was holding my breathe for a good word on that she wanted to get together when in all reality, i pretty much knew it wouldnt work from the start. it was really just a good motivation tool for me to stay working hard in hopes that one day, i might be able to hang out with her.

7 months and 150 bucks later, nothing but a sad face on, no good sleep again last night, depressed a bit again...

have test later today, that should be pretty interesting.

at least i studied a bit last night to refresh everything. it was supposed to be last week so i studied alot to take it before spring break.

its gonna be a long day... :(

Damn pitbike's second gear is screwed up! Works fine in first you can flat out pin er and it's just normal, then in second it clunks and rattles and skips, the chain goes all over the place and it rides like crap. As far as I can see 3rd is fine, don't know what to do with it parts are crazy hard to find for it.

Took the ltcr250r for a ride this afternoon, and hit a cypress knee in some grass... Wasn't even going that fast, barely scrubbed the d@mm thing.... Effing frame at the left front lower a arm twisted, and is completely effed...... Looks like another trip to eBay to find a decent frame to swap everything onto. This time, its going powder coat. Just went outside in my boxers, to let my dog out of the garage, and went down to the barn to look at my 400(usually sits in the garage) and found that my right rear 6 ply x rex is flat, wont even read on a tire guage has no air pressure at all. All the others have 6lbs of air and this has 0. wtf i bought 6ply so i didnt have to deal with this dumb ****. ah im so ****ing pissed. i could **** on a kitten right now. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Put 400 some miles on the new f150 just yesterday. Ran her from darn near st Augustine to Orlando, to Tampa, to Venice, and back home to tampa. Nice $200 day in fuel, got home at 12:30, just to get up at 5:30 for work. At least Orlando traffic didn't suck like it usually does!

i feel you pain, 4 weeks ago this past sunday i crashed while skiing at killington vt.

thought i had a turn meniscus and possibly torn LCL....get the mri back, turns out i broke the head of my fibula in my left knee in two (non displaced fracture, thank god)...craked the head of the tibia in my left knee and tore my mcl 40% of the way through.......where the crack is in tne fibula, is where the lcl roots it self to the bone....if it had become a displaced fracture, id fo had to have pins and rods in the leg to fix the bone, and had to have surgery to reattach the lcl tendon...

knee injuries suck...no riding, skiing, running, lifting legs, swimming, for atleast another 5 weeks says teh sports ortho.......im going nuts!!!

2 weeks ago I was riding and came down wrong and took the bar end to the gut. I swear I have a hernia or else I severely bruised it cause its still swollen. I have a silver dollar sized bruise that was purplish and seems hard to the touch. No crotch pain so I dont think its a hernia but man it worries me. No med insurance either so if I need surgery im screwed.

Ouchh sorry you guys..My knee was feeling better but i could shift gears with my hip atleast so i decided to take out my CR250 for a day of riding..I didnt gear it down for the woods and was riding some tight stuff and wow I got a work out..A couple tip overs and a crash later im even more sore than before. My crash was pretty sweet though haha..Cant believe I hurt myself more often by running hard to much compared to how i ride.

been a while since i have been on the site and posting anything, which is good. have been enjoying life and trying to get stuff finished up. crammed for tests the past three days. only have 3 tests left now! :)

hoping i passed my controls test tonight- it would be nice to have a 70% or so on it to have a nice buffer for the final and make sure im going to pass with flying colors instead of just squeaking it through.

want to go home this weekend but at 4.10 a gallon its an expensive trip. ill probably wheel around my house instead and probably burn just as much gas though...

been quite snippy again lately... im not sure if its from stress or just being irritated most of the time. probably both along with other things that irritate me occasionally. i get on my ma and dads case pretty fast, which isnt good, they just irritate me with the stuff they say everyday.

thats probably the main reason that i dont want to go home this weekend. ill be staying off the comp as much as i can again this weekend and try to relax as much as i can.

Just put on my new 8 plate GTT clutch setup. It probably needs to wear in a little but geez its hard to find neutral even worse now than before and the shifter is harder to shift with.

Amazing my old clutch was still in spec and the basket didnt even have any grooves or notches. Wonder wtf was in there? I bought it used and no idea if they changed it, but its been 7 years now every weekend if not more riding 6-8 hours...

i noticed with the heavy duty setups you have to set the clutch cable lower mount as far out (away from the arm towards the front) as possible to hit neut.mine is barely held by more than a thread.i also run a pep ez pull lever with two notches to get a little more pull distance.both those things brought it under control.`

^ Yea I had to do the same thing. I adjusted the lever (it has quite alot of adjustment) a bit and the lower adjustment is just as you said-barely held on.

I had the same problem when i did the timing chain, it was very hard to get into neutral till it wore in a bit.

gonna post an ad to sell the explorer this week :( its been a great vehicle though and hasnt let me down so it was worth having the ford around.

might try to sell the bike too and look for something different in june when i get home and working. would be nice to pick up a newer 1000rr if the opportunity arises to get rid of the f4.

id like to have some extra cash to get some stuff paid off too even if i do have to sell the bike for the time being. the only problem is, once i sell it, im not sure if i will want to blow the cash on a different one.

i have plans to get a different vehicle and the 3 grand would go nicely toward my h2 :)

might buy my buddies 02 mxz 440x from him since i would like to have it as a collectors item. its 2200 though which is still a bit high imo. it is a race sled though so its definitely a collectors item. i told him id take it if he can wait till june so i can make a bit of cash to pay him but im having second thoughts about that too. haha I dont need it but it would be fun.

might sell my mxz 700 this summer too but i know my dad would hate to see it go since he is the one that rides it. so i dont think ill be able to sell it on him. if i sell it, im not sure i would want to replace it this year and i know he wants to ride with me this coming winter since i will be home again. he cant afford one either so that makes it even tougher. I wouldnt mind getting rid of it if he wanted to buy one and had the cash to ride. he hardly has the extra money to put gas in the car let alone in the sled right now. hopefully the summer will be good for him to start working and get his own business venture going after losing his job in november.

i want to find a 600 rev or something but the prices on them are ridiculous still for older machines. maybe an 800 would be nice too but i have one of those already. a stock 06-07 mxz 600 X would be just the ticket for what i want out of a trail machine but they are hard to find in good shape.

as much as i want to start consolidating my stuff, i know i cant replace any of them for what i have in them right now. none of them owe me anything either so that makes the decision even tougher.

decisions... decisions.... no money to do any of them right now either so that really makes the decisions tough. everything sounds great but no cash till may is tough to cope with. haha

Had to order new intake and reed cage for my LT.... found a huge crack in the intake boot. Found a brand new Boyeson set up on EBay for 40.00 bucks though!! Hopefully get that knocked out by not this weekend, but the following. On call this weekend, here comes another 36 hour weekend, really wish sometimes I got paid hourly instead of Comp.:mad:

I always run varsity but thats gonna be a hell of alot of running. My hip flexer injury hasnt been cured yet either and theres some muscle back in my ***? haha

running injuries total suck...my leg has been feeling awesome lately....my doctor last week cleared for pt last tuesday, so i have been added doing the elliptical along wiht boxing for 25 minutes to my lifting routines which i was so happy to do:D went in today to start my pt sessions with the therapist, and after doing all the baseline tests....they determined that i ddint have to do therapy, just to go back to doing my leg routines, but modify it to lighter weight and gradually work back up...i was so pumped about this....im just happy cause i definitely will be back for wake board season now hopefully...knock on wood! haah

That happened to us with the snow the day before spring break haha..Damn Oregon. Anyways yeah Ben it does! I got 2nd in a 1500 today by .3 seconds and 1st in my 3000 both Varsity. I cant wait to get myself all healed up. I'm only a freshmen and even with this I'm rocking socks so hopefully I can get back into my groove. It sucks having to recover instead of run! No riding, logging, or anything physical. I have an invitational saturday too that im doing a 3000 in. ****.

just do what the doc's and coaches say dude....trust me, you'll be happier in the end. i know it sucks not being able to do stuff, but in the long run its better to stick it out, and be healthy adn happy in the end than ruin something cause you cant ride or somehing for a couple weeks.

i got cleared to do pt last week. so ive been hitting elliptical and doing some of my old boxing routines that i used to do in highschool.....so i went for PT this week, the therapist did all the tests and **** adn said that there was no point in me coming in cause i had a full range of motion, and my leg was strong, just not as strong as it was.....so he said i could go and do my old leg routine, just with light weight


so i took the brace off last night and did body weight squats + 20#, leg press wiht 45# on each side, and body weight deadlifts plus the bar........and ill tell you what, im not sore today, but i can tell today that the stabilizer muscles in my leg, especially around my knee are way weaker than they were....

it just sucks, cause i had never in my life done leg work outs and i stated doing them about 4 months ago to help gain muscle and make my legs stronger for skiing....i went from squatting 225#, deadlift 300# and leg pressing 675# before my accident, to whats listed above....i know my previous, before injury lifts were that overly impressive....but considering back at the end of august i was 5' 9", 165 ish pounds soaken *** wet, with a full stomach and all my clothes on, at around 8%bf, and now im about 182 at about 10% bf....im pretty happy...that and i just maxed my bench monday at 255#, 2 full reps :D

haha, i guess you could call me that if you wanted lol....but in all reality, im just live a healthy, so i like to work out...im by far not the biggest dude at the gym i work out at, but i am one of the most well rounded in terms of physical fitness....i like to be strong, muscular and have kick *** cardio...

..nothing like goign to work....listening to all your co workers ***** moan and groan on monday mornings about being over weight, tired, and hung over, while they're drinking coffee eating donuts......and knowing that your rocking a six pack under your dress shirt....:devil:

haha, i know, is like having a plow dragging behind you haha:p

but honestly, that was last summer, and i was training really hard all the winter and spring before leading up to the summer race season and i was also 15 pounds lighter with way less muscle..

..i imagine the muscle would slow me down now a little bit, but my cardio is no wherer near what it should be for this time of year..ive had a near 2 month lay off with htis leg injury....so im way behind schedule in terms of training for this summer 5k's.....

and my 5k during cross country was 18:01..Hoping to be in the 15's by senior year. I think its possible since I play sports year round too.

15's is some elite speed my friend....the 5k's i do around here draw between 5-700 ppl on average with teh final of the series being around 1000 (12XX this past sumer...i came in 89th)....there's only a handful of dudes that run those times and, with one dude, who hasnt been beaten in 8 years running, i believe his slowest last year was 15:12 :eek2:!!!!!! Jed christiansen...used to watch him run in high school (we graduated same year, different schools)...just a pure freak! i think he did track and XC for florida state i believe, and now is pro...

Okay so if anybody has ever heard of Johnny's Vintage Motorcycles out of Wadsworth Ohio, DON'T EVER BUY FROM THERE! Back in the summer I bought a wiseco piston for my 77 KM100, the ad said stock bore, 49.5mm, I emailed them asking if it came with rings and to conferm that yes it was 49.5mm. So it took forever but I finally got around to putting the thing back together, took so long because I was looking for a head and base gasket but I couldn't find them for the life of me, so I decided I'd just make my own base gasket out of Folder paper and liquid gasket, and wire brush the head gasket and put some liquid on it alos. Took the cylinder to the auto shop at school and spent an hour honing it, f***ed around with the wrist pin because it wouldn't come out, looked for 6 hours for the piston!!!! Get it out, moment of truth waiting so long for, take off the wraping and the first thing I see stamped right on the top of the piston, ".060" and imagine that it doesn't fit in the cylinder either! They can't tell me that they didn't take it out and see it was oversized because the box was ripped up and their buissiness card was tucked around the thing, spent so long trying to find parts for this damn thing!! I emailed them and gave them s*** even though I know they wont do anything about it. Found another wiseco in MI for $75 that is stock bore so I guess I'm going to order it by the time I got the cylinder bored out it would cost more than the bike is worth and I'm planning on selling it after it runs again. Why does this kind of crap always happen to the good guys?

Basically the same way i got the EX. had bent steering stem and a few other issues and watched it on CL for a month. Nabbed it for 1500 back when a used was selling for like 3000-3500 and the R was like still 5k+.

ill tell ya whats bothering me..

ran my first race sunday...round 2 of the PAXC series.....was all pumped for it....had a good hole shot and then had nothign but mechanical failure from there on out..


exhaust bolt holding my hmf in place broke and the clamp didnt hold the muffler on the head pipe and i lost my hmf.....had to stop, get it, get the quad to the trailer and get a bolt...got back out, over a lap down, and had brake problems from there on out...

had to pull out of the race, and took dead last!!!

never taken dead last in anything in my life! im bound and determined now to finish better next time!

i always keep my feelers out for a 450 and a 400 too. never know when there will be a nice one for cheap on there that i could pick up. i havent looked for alot of 450 stuff but look at the 400s weekly.

ya, nothing to major to fix..i needed new tires too, so that didnt help to my struggles, but i kinda just went in and winged it...ive followed quad racing my whole life, and i kinda knew what to expect, but at the same time i didnt..if that makes sense......im a good rider, but it was definitely a lesson in humility and a learning experience


we have three more races before summer break, and then almost 3 months before the last five races of the series...ill probably only be able to make one of the next three, but you can make damn sure that ill have the bike right adn will be putting in some major seat time between now and then

Needed to put a new caliper on my pick up so I bought one the other day from pepboys. The idiot behind the counter gave me the wrong damn side and no they dont have any at that store. I found one at autozone but I dont have another vehicle to drive to go get it.

I knew I shoulda checked first, but I didnt and now I gotta wait for someone to come home and take me.

On another note: Holy hell I wish I had a simpler front brake setup. Remove locking hub,remove lock nuts and washers, remove wheel hub, undo rotor from hub, reassemble.. Argh! Now i know why they stopped making 4wd systems like that and went to a unit hub.

I know exactly what your going through.

We just changed the entire brake system on my 99 mustang.

First 2 rotors we got from autozone were warped, then we got it going and ended up having to replace the caliper on the driver side.

Still wasnt right, ended up replacing the other caliper.

STILL wasnt right, ended up replacing the brake lines.

STILL isnt right, its going to my dad's friend who is a brake expert!

Its not the car, usually its the inferior parts or something else was wrong from the get go. Possible you got air int he lines a bad booster or master cyl.

In my case id love to buy oem toyota calipers, but at 300 a pop..no F'n way. I gotta work all day tomorrow (6-11) and Im gonna track down a caliper one way or another and put it on whenI get back and grab someone to bleed it with me as soon as I can.

Upside is im going riding in pa sunday at least and I dont have to drive.

Well its not that the brakes dont work, they work great, but they hang up and get scorching hot.. well the right one does.

We thought maybe the parking break was hanging up and so we disconnected it and it still did it.

And starts making a really loud howling noise.

Were Starting to think it might be wheel bearings or something.

Locked up the CR motor in my "Hybrid" in Sig below. Piston grenaded, ring broke loose and got jammed into the intake. Cylinder is most likely trashed now. Was on its final bore as is. Now, time to figure out what to do. Newer CR motor, newer 4 stroke? Can't even get the cylinder off cuz the piston is completely jammed. It won't budge..

Was still an ok day. At least I got to watch my idiot brother bust his you know, trying to cut donuts in a bowled out spot in the trail LOL. He's ok, broke the right front fender on the Baja though.

Take the caliper off, try and compress the piston on the caliper. It doesnt compress easy calipers no good.

i know this is harsh and it may sound kinda dickey, but you need to sell all that stuff. i know you love to go riding with your dad and all, but your parents need to get their finances and selves inline before they go taking you down that road with them...


if you cant afford to fix something, as in your parents cant, then just let it sit till you can, or sell it...they shouldnt be relying on you to pay for things like that so they can have fun..


my best friend growing up came from a, well, pretty darn poor family. he picked up extra jobs not only to pay for things he wanted to do like race ATV MX, but he also paid his parents bills (mortage, car payment, electric and so on)...his parents never tried to better themselves adn he eventualy after years of doing this, moved out....

i agree with you ben, they should be able to cover it themselves a bit easier. i can afford to pay for it and dont mind buying a few things every now and again for the rincon or something. thats about all they have left for something to ride.

the rincon is an 04, i told my dad i would buy him bushings for the front end for xmas and his birthday presents. well i bought the bushings and got the tops changed easy enough. i cant believe what moose bushings cost for a rebuild. the bottoms however, i couldnt press out to change. so now i get to buy some arms to the tune of another 120 bucks for bottom arm. he would pay for them if i wanted him to. usually he buys what he needs for brakes or something like that.

it just seems like its starting to be a bit more prevalent, be it, me saying ill cover it or him not paying since they dont have the money to spend. either way, it seems like i have spent quite a bit the past few months.

my toys are my toys, no one rides any of them but me. my dad rides the spare sled from time to time but thats about it. i drive my cars, ride my atvs, and drive my snowmobiles for myself.

im just burned out i guess... i still dont mind but i want to get my stuff paid for and all caught up. I just spend more money now than i used to lol.

Got the ltr torn down, and cut out one complete lower frame rail because of the old rot. Got a new length of tubing mocked up in there now, but I have to pick up more for the other side. I can't believe I didn't do it this way the first time the frame was stripped down. It's surprising that the frikkin thing didn't collapse on me when it was running before.

On a brighter note, Averys new motor is on its way, and Ethans new front wheel bearings are as well.

On call this weekend with work, so the rides are on hold til probably next weekend.
