Polaris RZR 4 800 Robby Gordon Edition SxS /
UTV Review
::Continued::
After having the RZR 4 800 for
a while and giving it quite a bit of abuse,
we did encounter one issue with it when the
CVT belt got to hot and came loose, but that
was a very easy fix.

The
CVT belt on the Polaris RZR 4 is very
easy to get to & is quick to change,
but we do recommend always keeping an
extra belt with you along with tools
to change it on any long rides |
To swap out the CVT Belt, all you need is a
screw driver, a ¾” wrench, a 3/8”
wrench and a crescent wrench. “It was
pretty easy to change out. You just take the
back seat and bar out, take off the plastic
cover underneath the seat, take off the belt
cover and it’s right there. It only took
us about 15 minutes to change the belt,”
explained Baron.
“There’s plenty of
storage in the RZR for tools and what not, so
I would definitely recommend keeping a spare
belt on hand and the tools to fix it just in
case you’re out in the middle of nowhere
and need to change it,” Baron added.

The
Polaris RZR 4 800 has plenty of room
for storage. Up front the RZR 4 features
a large water tight storage compartment
great for storing tools. On the rear
the RZR 4 has a 22 in. x 42 in. bed
and can carrying 300 lb. (136.1 kg.)

Overall the Polaris RZR 4 800
was a huge hit with Baron, as well as his family
and his friends and after putting over 600 miles
on this machine we are pleased to say that the
CVT belt was the only issue we encountered.
The reliability and quality of this machine
is excellent. We feel that the RZR 4 800 is
a great machine that is highly enjoyable for
the whole family and groups and we cannot wait
to see if Polaris comes out with a big bore
version in the future, but until then, we will
have plenty of fun with the one we have.
