The resort itself is amazing and has many amenities, but some of the more interesting aspects include a car museum and the adventure center.

The
Gateway Canyon Resort also has a car museum
with many one of a kind cars on display
including an Oldsmobile 88 prototype (above
left) that is the only one in existence.
It is said that the car was bought at
auction for 3.5 million dollars

At the adventure center you can set out and explore the region by many means including horseback, kayaking, hiking and by ATV and UTV, which was what we would be doing during our test ride of the KYMCO UXV 700i.

The
KYMCO UXV 700i's electronic fuel injected
engine worked flawlessly even when we
climbed over five thousand feet above
our base camp at the Gateway Canyons Resort |
Our elevation started out at around 4,500 feet and during our test ride, we would be going up in elevation to over 10,000 feet. We thought this was awesome as we would definitely get to see how well the KYMCO UXV 700i’s fuel injection and new engine would handle in higher elevations, which can really affect the performance of a machine.

The
KYMCO UXV models received updated fender
styling for 2014 |
The first thing we noticed about the 2014 KYMCO UXV 700i was its new front end styling, which we feel resembles the front end of a Dodge pickup truck.

There is a large storage area located underneath the hood |
LED Headlights come standard on the KYMCO UXV 700i |
Not only does the KYMCO UXV look better there is more cargo room under the front hood with the hood raised about two inches. Also, it now has dual LED lighting up front for improved visibility for driving after dark.
