WORCS Racing - Round
5 - Pro ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Exit Shock’s Robbie Mitchell rounded out the top five in the class. He had a rear pack start but moved quickly and was in third for the first four laps. On lap five his air box fell out and was lying on his swing arm. He had no choice, but to stop and fix it. He got rolling again and battled with the Pro-Am class until he experienced further issues. He was able to move from sixth to fifth on the final lap. Mitchell currently holds down fourth in the championship chase.

LMR's Robbie Mitchell placed fifth in the WORCS Pro Class at Honolulu Hills |
“I would’ve been in contention for the podium if the air box would have stayed put. I can’t complain everything was working well, but the little things got me today,” said Mitchell after the race.

GPS Offroad Products' Dillon Zimmerman was running at the front of the pack until his nerfbar netting broke dropping him back to sixth place |
Can-Am’s Dillon Zimmerman took sixth after shuffling all over the place. Zimmerman had a rear pack start and worked his way from fifth on lap one to third on lap five. He held third until lap seven when he dropped to fourth. Unfortunately, Zimmerman experienced issues with his nerf bar which caused him to run his own foot over when a net broke. This set him back even further; he finished in sixth position.
“My net breaking really hindered me. My foot is pretty sore and forced me to really back down. I am pretty bummed about it. My Can-Am worked well though and I didn’t have any other issues,” said Zimmerman. He currently sits seventh in the class points.

Garrin Fuller follows Collins Webster over the WORCS Cross section. They would finish 7th & 8th after each experienced issues that forced them to the rear of the pack at Honolulu Hills |
Garrin Fuller and Collins Webster rounded out seventh and eighth in the class. Fuller had a solid race going, running most of the race in seventh, but ran into problems and was unable to complete the final lap. Webster only completed three laps when his swing arm broke in half. Fuller currently holds tenth in the point’s chase and Webster is holding sixth.
The WORCS series will take a two month break and resume July 12th -14th at Pala Raceway in Pala, California. The event is sure to be exciting as Beau Baron fights to hold his points lead and the rest of the class attempts to overcome him. There are only four rounds left this season and the one thing we can expect is excitement.
