Ron Heath - Honda TRX 450R ATV
#182 Ron Heath grabbed the Pro-Am Holeshot and held the 2nd spot till the 8th lap when he was sidelined, which dropped him back to a 11th place finish
In the Pro-am class, Can-Am/Motoworks’ Dillon Zimmerman went on to take his third win of the season and get even closer to Pro-am points leader, Josh Row. Zimmerman came off the line in 6th and soon worked his way into the number three position behind Ron Heath and Drew Lattimar, but in lap seven, Heath crashed and was unable to continue, putting Lattimar in first and Zimmerman in second. In lap eight, Lattimar began to tire and Zimmerman was able to take advantage of all the extra training he has been doing this season. “I’ve been training a lot with Brandon (Smith) and the rest of the Motoworks guys and it’s really paid off. My endurance has really increased so I didn’t get tired and was able to pass Drew,” said Dillon.

In the Women’s class, Angela Butler continued to dominate and now has a six race winning streak. Angela also placed 8th in the Pro-am class and is holding steady at 6th in the Pro-am points race. Round seven of the WORCS series heads to Milford, CA where Honey Lake MX will be the hosting facility on September 26-28. The track website claims it is the “dictionary definition of the perfect WORCS race” and boasts a hill climb called the MX395, which is one of the longest up-hills in motocross, consisting of a vertical rise of 400 feet. The overall elevation change from the starting area to the top of MX395 is 500 feet. There is also a 99 DB limit at the track so racers should be sure to bring along the necessary equipment needed to meet the limit. You can check out the WORCS website for more info about the facility and accommodations at www.worcsracing.com.
