Bronson Bundy, Dillon Zimmerman, Josh Row |
All though the Pro races are the main attraction,
there is always plenty of action going on in the
other classes as well. In the Pro-am class, Keith
Johnson was leading the 1st lap, followed by Curtis
McNitt and Can-Am Motowork’s Dillon Zimmerman.
All though McNitt claimed the fastest lap time in
the Pro-Am class, Zimmerman had an incredible race,
taking over the lead by lap three and never looking
back. Zimmerman took the win in his class and placed
3rd overall for the day. Josh Row put up a good
fight and came from 8th place to take 2nd, with
Bronson Bundy on his heels the whole time. Bundy
came away with 3rd place while Keith Johnson held
on for 4th and Polaris’s Angela Butler claimed
5th, which puts her in 6th place for the points
race.

Dillon Zimmerman |
Butler is currently the points leader in the
Women’s A class and took her 5th straight
win this weekend. Amy Horst finished in 2nd and
Julie Russell claimed 3rd. Donna Espensen took
4th place while Lynn Prosser succumbed to bike
issues in the 2nd lap and was unable to finish
the race.
In Production A, Josh Row, Mike Antilla and Dillon
Zimmerman grabbed the top three spots, but it
was Zimmerman who claimed the fastest lap time
of 07:56.4.
In the 50cc Stock 4-6 year class, Missy Taylor
from Eatonville, WA took her 5th consecutive win
of the season, followed by Ricky Easterwood in
2nd and Zachary Michel took 3rd and claimed the
fastest lap time in his class with 8 minutes flat
in the 10th lap. Travis Beckman took his 1st win
of the season in the 51-70cc Modified class with
Cody Engelhart in 2nd and Buddy Williams in 3rd.
Cole Fite dominated round 5 of the Shifter Open
8-15 class followed by Tyler Woods in 2nd, Ze’Vyer
Mott in 3rd, with Ross James in 4th and Kelsey
Lugan, who is currently 2nd in the points race,
rounded out the top 5.
After the 3 month summer break, WORCS will head
back up to Washington State on August 15th-17th,
where Straddleline ORV park will play host for
its second season. Racers should be aware that
there is a 99 DB limit in effect at the facility.
The park is located about 16 miles west of Olympia,
WA and offers an impressive motocross section
and miles of wooded trails that run out into the
scenic Capitol Forrest. All though Washington
is notorious for its rainfall, August is usually
one of the driest months of the year and can produce
dusty conditions, especially in the off-road sections.
