After the ATV Pro Challenge on Saturday, several classes of the TQRA series were held, but the Open Expert and Pro-am classes were held over for Sunday. Several top national pro racers hung around for Sunday’s races, including Yamaha’s Thomas Brown, Can-Am’s Jeffrey Rastrelli, pro rookie of the year, Kyle Hamrick and Brad Riley, as well as regular series racers, Cody Miller and Hunter Miller. Series top contender, Johnny Hale was missing from Sunday’s line up due to injuring his wrist on Friday during practice.

As the gate dropped for the first moto in the Open Expert class, Thomas Brown grabbed the holeshot followed by Brad Riley and Cody Miller, but it wasn't long before Jeffrey Rastrelli moved in to challenge Brown for the lead.. Brown held his lead for several laps before Rastrelli slipped by and took the moto one win.

“Jeffrey was really rolling in the first moto. We weren’t sure if we were going to Race Sunday or not, but we decided after Saturday’s Pro Challenge that we needed to work on a few things and do some testing and we figured there’s no better place to work on things than on the race track so we went out and made some improvements in the first moto, but Jeffrey was still riding really strong and he got me,” said Brown.

Brown however was not about to let that happen again in the second moto. Once the gate dropped, Brown was on fire. The number 84 led from start to finish and claimed the moto two win and the top spot on the Open Expert podium. “We made a few more improvements to the quad for the second moto and it was running awesome and we took the win. Now that the season is over, we’re going to take a little time off to get all our deals done. Everything is looking positive and we should be putting out a big release soon,” stated Brown.
