Dana Creech had to sit out the final rounds of Terracross after he experienced a bad wreck on his motorcycle |
Dana Creech was missing from the racing lineup after he suffered a bad wreck on his motorcycle, but he kept himself busy all weekend keeping the track groomed for the racers, but Jason Luburgh did get an opportunity to race on Saturday under the name “Ricky Bobby” as he went for one of the final spots in the main, but without any seat time prior to the race, he rolled it early in the first lap, which sent him to the back of the pack. Although he didn’t make it to the main, Luburgh had a blast at Haydays.

Jason Luburgh not only helped Dana Creech design the Terracross track but Luburgh also got to race in the main event Saturday at Haydays |
“This is awesome, so much bigger than I expected it to be and turned out really really nice,” said Jason Luburgh.
In the Terracross Pro Am SxS class, Cody Gorsegner would take the win in the first main event followed by Jeff Loyd and Andy Ives. Day two’s competition would have Cole Cottew taking first, Cody Gorsegner second and Jeff Loyd finishing third.
The Women’s SxS class had some fierce competition with Sarah Gildea taking first, Melissa Blasinki second and finishing out the top three would be Cindi Hart for day one.
Cindi Hart lead the Women's class main event on Saturday down to the final corner when she got hung up just before the finish. Cindi had a better day on Sunday taking the win and the overall in the final with Sarah taking second and Amber Gore in the third spot. Hart would also earn the 2013 Terracross Women's SxS Championship with three overall wins.
“It was great competition out there. All these girls can get out there and drive. This is a great sport to get into,” said Hart.
The double header weekend of the Terracross Championship at Haydays will be airing on CBS Sports in the next couple of weeks so be sure to check it out!
