“This event is awesome! I have never raced in front of so many people before. What Haydays brings to racing is just an awesome event and hopefully they can put on more events like this,” said Anderson.
Giving Anderson a run for his money was Zac Zakowski. Trailing Anderson the majority of time, Zakowski was feeling confident that he had what it took to earn the win, but Zakowski ran out of laps and would take second in day one after he charged his way from the rear of the pack.
“I was working my butt off out there. I was probably running eighth off the line, and I just slowly started picking one off at a time. If I had one or two laps more I could have probably taken the win from RJ,” said Zakowski after the race.

Zakowski would have better luck in the final main for the weekend with the first gate pick by winning the heat race, so he grabbed the Holeshot and pulled away from the field as he remained unchallenged, and at the checkered flag, Zakowski held a 19 second lead over Andrew Carlson in the second spot.
“It was running great. The suspension is just phenomenal and we are hitting stuff with a whole new level of confidence. It’s just a different level of machine,” mentioned Zakowski.

Andrew Carlson was on the gas for both rounds of racing at Haydays in the Polaris RZR XP 1000. On Saturday, he battled with Zakowski for several laps before dropping back into the third spot, and again on Sunday, Carlson was once again chasing after Zakowski when he finished in second place, which wrapped up an impressive weekend of racing for Carlson.
James Hill joined the pack this weekend when the opportunity was presented to him to run the all-new Polaris RZR XP 1000 for the first time, but Hill isn’t new to racing as he has been running strong in his Can-Am Maverick in the WORCS Series, and after missing a spot in the first main of the weekend, Hill came on strong in the second event as he charged his way through the pack to secure the third spot.
