Clifford, PA (5/30/13) - The New England ATV MX series made its fourth stop of the 2013 season at the beautiful hillside track of Hurricane Hills in Clifford, PA over the Memorial Day weekend. The weather leading up to the event was very dreary and cold with almost winter like conditions. Saturday’s practice was covered with thick clouds and a few showers but when Sunday rolled around, there was plenty of sunshine and blue skies to be had for the entire race day.
There was fireworks Saturday night to kick off the event and put on a show for the many spectators and racers who were in attendance, just one of the ways that Hurricane Hills always puts on a good show and event.
The NEATV-MX Pro class headed to the line and were preparing their gates for the battle that lay ahead. There were only 8 racers on the gate, but it was sure to be a dog fight to the finish line!

MR Unlimited’s #172 Preston Young would rocket off the gate to come away with a very commanding first Holeshot of the day in the Pro class. This set him up perfectly to start gaining ground on the rest of the pack heading into the first big jump of the circuit which sends the racers flying over a large double-triple style tabletop and then up over an uphill 2-jump section. Young held onto the first place spot until about the second lap when Travis Moore came on strong and put a pass on before the elevator jump section. Young continued to push behind Moore but settled in for a second place ride for Pro moto one.

Pro moto two came about and Young once again put his DASA / FOX Honda TRX450R ATV to the front of the pack with another Holeshot! #117 Mike Bluy and #18 Donnie Lovell were also vying for the position, but Young shut the door heading into the first corner.
