From there, Young hammered the throttle and put his head down trying to gain time on the ever-present force behind him. Young did just that until halfway through the race when Moore was able to slip by him going into the bottom section of the track. Young did not give up, however, as he continued to pressure Moore until about the third to last lap when something when wrong mechanically with Moore’s quad. Moore was forced to slow down because he did not know the severity of the machine’s injury and this allowed Young to slip back by on the second to last lap and secure the moto and the overall win, his first ever Pro class overall in the NEATV series!
“I’m super happy to be up here on the podium today with the overall win! It means a lot to me and my team because we’ve been working so hard for this. Travis was running extremely well today and never made any mistakes but fortunately for us we were able to take this one” said Young after the moto.

BCS / Can-Am's Travis Moore earned 1-2 in the Pro Class to take second overall |
BCS Performance / FOX / DWT’s Travis Moore had a rougher time coming out of the gate for the Pro moto two as he came off the line in sixth place. Moore then passed his way up to 4th within the first turns and continued on his way towards the front of the pack. Before the first lap was over, Moore was already up and heading toward the rear grab bar of Preston Young who was running up front. Moore poured on the coal and got around Young halfway through the 8 lap moto and lead for the next couple of laps. At this point, this is where a small disaster struck for Moore as one of the pivot bolts in his ATV’s front end came loose and created adverse steering conditions for the quad, forcing him to slow down. Moore backed off and salvaged a second place finish after Young got by him. This would net Moore a 1-2 finish on the day and a second place overall in the class.
