Joe Haavisto
was running in good position for the
firest two motos of the day but during
moto 2 of Pro he would suffer a crash
& sit out for the rest of the
weekend |
Joe Haavisto finished second place in the
first moto but didn’t start the second
moto because of his crash during Pro moto
two and would take away a sixth place finish
overall. Joe Fratus finished in seventh place
overall after going 5-DNS because he too would
suffer a crash earlier in the day and be taken
to the hospital with a laceration on his bicep
and a shattered knuckle.
In the 4-Stroke A Class it was
the ATV Innovations Suzuki of Mike Skalaski
running up front for the overall. Although
Can-Am’s Mark Gehring was able to secure
the moto one win, Skalaski came back to win
the second moto and go 2-1 for the overall.
Gehring would finish in second going 1-2 followed
by Brad Burbin in third going 3-6, Roy Lampron
going 7-3, with current points leader Shawn
Welsh rounding out the top 5 going 6-4. Dylan
Murcott would take home sixth place after
a 5-5 finish with Artie Drouin in tow after
going 4-7, and unfortunately for Joe Fratus
he would finish eighth in moto one and become
injured during a crash in moto two.

Mike
Skalaski made his comeback after a
rough weekend in Maine & came
away with a commanding victory in
the 4-stroke A class after going 2-1
on the day |
Mark
Gehring was Skalaski's biggest competition
for the weekend at Jolly but was unable
to defeat Skalaski as he went 1-2
on the weekend for 2nd place overall |
The Women’s class for
round 10 was under a blanket of fear, hope,
anger, and sadness. During Saturday practice,
top Women’s racer, #537 Angie Maher
would become seriously injured during a crash
due to a kicker at the lip of a downhill tabletop.
She would be airlifted to Dartmouth Hospital
in New Hampshire where she would be monitored.
Unfortunately, Angie would later pass away
from the injuries she sustained during her
accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with
the family as they fight through this tragic
time.

Amy
Thompson was able to finish in first
place overall after she went 3-1 in
the Women's class on Sunday |
Larissa
Griffiths also made a trip to the
podium at round 10 as she went on
to finish in 2nd place after she went
2-2 on the day |
With their best friend being
taken care of by medical professionals, the
Women’s class racers still pressed on
to race their motos. Amy Thompson was able
to secure her first overall win of the season
as she went 3-1 on the day followed by Larissa
Griffths in second place going 2-2, while
Paige Whipple went 1-4 for third place overall.
Behind her was Jaclyn MacQuarrie in fourth
place going 5-3 and Laura Pilotte in fifth
place after she went 4-5.
Round 10 at Jolly was plagued
with less than desireable weather, and track
conditions. Everyone is hoping that Walden
will be a turn around from this last round
and that our luck will turn around. The points
battles are coming down to the wire in the
Pro Class as Michael Pilotte moves into the
second place position behind Cody Miller,
while Miller now leads the Pro-Am class as
well in the points chase with Canadian Jasmin
Plante hot on his heals! Be sure to come out
for round 11 of the series as we head to Walden
MX in Wallkill, NY on September 25-26th and
watch the Pros and Ams battle it out for the
top spot with only two rounds left in this
exciting 2010 season!
