Cody Miller was, again, on a mission
to the front of the pack as he took first place
in the first moto outting and then would drop
back in the second moto to take third place
going 1-3 on the day but taking the overall
win in the class. Mille would get around Michael
Pilotte when the pair came down off from the
“Intimidator” and become swapped
up as they exited the tunnel with Pilotte getting
sideways and taking a dive over a berm becoming
ejected from his quad. This would allow Miller
to go on for the win for moto one.

Lee's Cody Miller would take a first
place finish in the first moto of Pro-Am
& then slip back to 3rd place for
moto two, but he would still be allowed
to take the overall win as the points
unfolded at the end of the day |
Moto two rolled off the line and
would see Miller slotting into the third place
position and eventually move his way up to race
lead Pilotte as he took over second place from
Jasmin Plante. Miller then began working on
closing the gap on Pilotte when he hit a huge
hole in the middle of track which would cause
him to bobble and drop back to third as Plante
found his way around him again. “ Yeah
the track was getting really bad and all of
a sudden I just got rocked by my handlebars
as my wheels cut to the side. It knocked the
wind out of me and couldn’t keep up. I’m
really happy to take the overall though and
keep my points lead heading into Walden for
round 11,” said Miller after the event.
DRT’s Michael Pilotte was
running in the top spot within the first lap
of competition as he made his way around Yamaha
mounted Jasmin Plante. Pilotte would begin to
build a lead as Miller was fighting his way
around Plante as well. About halfway through
the event, Pilotte was in a wheel-to-wheel battle
coming into a bottom corner when he and Miller
would connect and send Pilotte over the bars.
This would push him back to sixth spot which
is what he would settle for before the checkered
flag flew.

DRT's
Michael Pilotte would battle with Jasmin
Plante & Cody Miller & would
come away with a second place finish
& now sits in good position in the
points chase for the Pro-Am class as
well |
Moto two would go much better
for Pilotte as it would again see him slotting
into the the second spot out of the holeshot
behind Plante. Pilotte would again be able to
take over Plante before the finish line but
this time would finish in the top spot as the
sixth lap ticked away. “ I got a little
mixed up in that first moto with Cody in the
bottom section but thankfully i was able to
come back stronger in this moto and take the
moto win and second overall! I’m now sitting
second place in points and I’m excited
to head to Walden for the next round,”
said Pilotte after the race.
Vinny Mofford made his first trip
to the podium in his Pro career as he was able
to hang on to score a third place finish overall
at Jolly Roger after going 3-4 on the day. Pro-Am
moto one for Vincent went well with him being
able to hold onto third place as fellow KTM
racer Pilotte took a tumble early in the race
and suffered a flat tire, this allowed Mofford
to make a charge up through the pack and finish
just behind Joe Haavisto in second place.

Vinny
Mofford was in cruise mode during the
first Pro-Am moto but would fight some
mechanical issues during the second
moto - Mofford was able to hang onto
his position & take 3rd place overall
- his best finish of his Pro career |
Mofford came out again for the
second Pro-Am moto and was able to start out
in fourth place and hold this position for the
remainder of the moto as well.
Many racers weren’t present
during the Pro-Am class as they suffered mechanical
and physical issues earlier in the race and
decided not to run this class. Shawn Welsh finished
in fourth place after going 4-5 while, Jasmin
Plante finished fifth overall after suffering
a DNF in the first moto but a second place in
the second moto.
