Amateur and Women racers were
also tearing it up on the track at Hemond’s
Moto-X Park.
In the 4-Stroke A class, Pennsylvanian
Shawn Welsh put his East Coast ATV Honda up
front in both motos by going 1-1 on the day.
The wins would not come easy for Welsh though
as he would battle with fellow Honda mounted
Joe Fratus. Fratus would pressure welsh for
both of the motos but would not be able to
slip before time ran out and would have to
settle for second place overall. Justin Alger
put in a strong running in the 4-Stroke A
class as well finishing out his day by going
3-4 just ahead of Mark Gehring who went 7-3
for 4th place overall. Bad Burbine went 6-5
on the day to take control of 5th place overall
while Roy Lampron went home with 6th place
after he went 5-6 and Artie Drouin took home
7th place after going 4-7 on the day.

BCS'
Kevin Bean has had his hands full
with the Yamaha of Rick Spurlin all
year long but was able to dominate
the Hemonds course by going 1-1 on
the day |
The 40+ class was owned by Kevin
Bean who once again went 1-1 on the day to
dominate the competition. The Honda mounted
Bean had a few tough battles with Rick Spurlin
aboard his Yamaha ATV but it was the Can-Am
of Delton Bohlman sliding into 2nd place overall
by going 3-2. Spurlin finished in 3rd place
by going 2-3 with Brian Hax taking 4th by
going 4-4, and Joe Cote going 5-5. Unfortunately
for Jim Favreau he would suffer a nasty crash
during practice and be taken to a nearby hospital.
We wish him a speedy recovery in the future.
