Can-Am’s Cody Miller would
slot in just behind Pilotte and Plante out of
the holeshot and ride in the third place position
for the entire moto. Although unrelentingly
putting pressure on the top-two racers, Miller
was unable to secure a plass on either of them
before time expire.

Cody
Miller's Pro-Am performance was a chip
off the 'ol block to the one that he
laid down at round 8 - Miller came on
strong in the second moto to pull out
the win after taking a 3rd place finish
in the first moto - his 3-1 set gave
him 1st place overall in Maine |
Knowing he had to make up some
points on the 1 and 2 moto one finishes of Pilotte
and Plante, Cody Miller charged hard off the
line of the second outing of the Pro-Am class
and secured a second place position just behind
Pilotte. Miller would wait for his opportunity
to strike at the lead and this would come sooner
rather than later in the moto with Miller making
the pass for the lead within the first lap of
the race. Miller would hold this position all
the way to the checkered flag to go 3-1 on the
day and take the overall win. Cody now sits
just 3 points behind the 1st place of Jasmin
Plante in the points standing heading into round
10 at Jolly Roger MX Park where Miller is no
stranger to the fast paced, rocky, natural terrain
course.
Hindle’s Jasmin Plante would
put in two very consistent motos in the Pro-Am
class finishing both of them in the second place
position. Moto one saw him battling hard with
KTM mounted Michael Pilotte and actually taking
over the lead for some time but would later
drop back to second place before the final lap
was through.

Canada's
Jasmin Plante was sitting in the top
3 all weekend long in Maine & his
2-2 finishes in the Pro-Am class would
give him 2nd place overall & keep
his points chase alive after round 9 |
Moto two for Plante was much the
same taking a top 5 start and having to work
his way around Shawn Welsh who sat in third
place after the holeshot. Plante would then
again have to battle with the orange-clad Michael
Pilotte before finding a way around him to take
over second place about half-way through the
moto. Once in second place Plante would begin
to play catch-up to Miller out front but was
unable to make a move before time expired. “
This track is very fast and lots of jumps which
I like to race on. I used a lot of energy during
the second moto to fight through the pack which
allowed Miller to run away up front, but I am
happy to still hold the points lead heading
into Jolly,” said Jasmin after the event.
Michael Pilotte would take both
of the Pro-Am holeshots aboard his DRT prepped
KTM ATV. Moto one was the better of the two
for Pilotte as he was in a heated battle with
Plante for the lead and would eventually get
it before the checkers flew on the moto.

|
DRT/KTM's
Michael Pilotte put on a dominating
performance in the first moto of Pro-Am
taking the win, but would slip back
to 3rd place in the second moto giving
him 3rd place overall on the day &
keeping him in 4th place in points for
the championship |
Moto two however would leave Pilotte
back in third place after he would be passed
by Cody Miller who was on a mission to the front
and Jasmin Plante who was also out for redemption
from the first moto. Nevertheless, Pilotte was
able to stay in a comfortable third place for
entirety of the moto and lock down third place
overall on the day.
Fourth place would go to Joe Haavisto
who had a much better time during the Pro-Am
races with no mechanical issues. Haavisto would
finish his day staying consistent and going
5-4 on the day with a few mid-pack battles with
fellow Can-Am racer Richard Pelchat.

|
Joe
Haavisto would take home 4th place in
the Pro-Am class for round 9 after a
5-4 set of finishes & two hard fought
battles on the dusty course |
Vinny
Mofford would go 7-6 on the day at Hemonds
to finish out in 6th place overall -
Mofford has been very conistent this
year & currently sits in 6th place
in the points |
Myles Santaniello would again
visit the top 5, this time in the Pro-Am class.
His 6-5 finishes were good enough to keep him
in 5th place overall on the day. Vinny Mofford
was on a roll as well finishing in 6th place
overall after he went 7-6 on the day.
