Brian Ace Wins Batavia North East Extreme Dirt Track
::Continued::

The Pro-Am main event was very exciting to watch with triple the amount of riders as the Pro class with just as fast of laps times!

NEEDT Pro ATV Podium
North East Extreme Dirt Track Pro-Am Class had three times the amount of riders than the NEEDT Pro Class. Brian Ace would grab the Holeshot in the Pro-Am Main

Andrew Evanyke of Warwick, NY made his long trip to Batavia worth it as he came out of the Holeshot for the Pro-Am main with a solid second place ride and the chance to pursue Ace who grabbed the Holeshot Evanyke was at the top of his game as he set his sights on the rear plate of Ace as the pair went careening around the track.

Evanyke’s opportunity for a pass came half-way through the 15 lap race as Ace’s brakes began to fail on him dramatically and Evanyke was able to make a pass coming out of the back section back into the bowl area of the track. From here, Evanyke put his head, and the hammer down and continued on his way up front to go on and take the checkered flag with a few second lead over second place.

Andrew Evanyke earned the win in the NEEDT Pro-Am Class

“My quad was on rails tonight here at Batavia and I’m super pumped to be at the top step of the podium! I came out and got a really solid start and I knew Houghton and Tiffer were back there behind me so I tried to make a gap before those guys got caught up to us. When I saw Ace losing brakes I knew it was now or never and I was able to make a pass and get off to a bit of a lead before the checkered flag flew. My ESJ Graphics / Hoosier Tires Honda was hooking up and running amazing on the technical track and got me off to a great start and stayed strong ‘til the end. I’m hoping for a few podium finishes at the nationals here in a couple weeks!”, said Evanyke.

Brian Ace put himself into the Holeshot off the start of the Pro-Am main event but slipped back into second place after some brake failure. Ace was on fire off the Holeshot and undoubtedly was riding his fastest as his brakes just couldn’t hold up to the pressure he was forcing upon them. Nevertheless, Ace put his Hellbound / Tru-Way Racing / Baldwin Motorsport’s on the box in second place after a very hard fought battle toward the front. Ace had to let Evanyke slip past but was able to fend off a hard charging Michael Houghton who was riding on Ace’s rear grab bar for the last few laps of the race!

Brian Ace placed second in the North East Extreme Dirt Track Pro-Am Class

“It was a tough one with the brake’s failing on me like that but luckily I was able to hang on to that second place spot and Houghton and I didn’t get tangled up. It’s a thin line you walk when you’re trying to go flat out but have no brakes to stop you when you need to!,” said Ace after the event.
