Walker Fowler Wins Blackhawk MAXC

“I had a pretty good day. I got off to a good start. Cunningham got by me in the beginning and I ran behind him for a lap then I was able to get by him in one of the open field sections. I had one last lap and Walker (Fowler) made a really good pass coming out of one of the open field sections,” explained Ballance Racing’s Taylor Kiser

Cole Richardson earned third in the MAXC Pro Class

All the way from Edinburg, Pennsylvania, Cole Richardson made his first appearance at the AMA MAXC Racing Series at the Blackhawk MAXC. Richardson would run in fourth place for the first three laps before securing third place and earning the final spot on the Pro ATV podium.

Kevin Cunningham took over the lead on lap one then began to fall back to fourth on the fourth lap as the rough track conditions began to beat up his back. Cunningham would cross the finish in fourth at the Blackhawk MAXC.

Rounding out the Pro ATV Class Top 5 was Johnny Gallagher who stayed consistent throughout the race. Gallagher secured fifth place throughout the five-lap race.

In the Open A Class, it was Braden Nichols who earned the win finishing almost two minutes ahead of second place on his Honda 450R ATV.  Rounding out the Open A Class podium was Joshua Beach in second and Ryan Ferguson in third.

Jacob Ripley - Yamaha YFZ450R ATV
Jacob Ripley earned his sixth win of the season at the Blackhawk MAXC
B 15-14 Class Points Leader Jacob Ripley took his sixth win of the season at the Blackhawk MAXC on his Yamaha YFZ450R ATV. Placing second was Phillip Mitchko followed by Brandon Spencer in third.

Michael Anderson earned his first win of the season in the 13-15 yrs 300cc 4 Stroke Class followed by Cole Fletcher in second and class points leader Lee Smith rounding out the top three.

Next up for the AMA MAXC Racing Series is the recently added non-points race in Clay City, Kentucky on October 13. The AMA MAXC will be co-sanctioning with the KCCR Series for this particular race to give racers a preview of a new location that the AMA MAXC Racing Series plans to use next year.

Following the non-points race on October 19th, the AMA MAXC Racing Series will be back on their regular schedule and will head to Gosport, IN for the Rally in the Valley for round nine.
