Culver, IN (9/29/2013) - The AMA Mid America Cross Country Racing Series headed to Culver, Indiana just 20 minutes south of the Michigan / Indiana border for round 8 of the ten round series. This would be the second year that the MAXC has raced at this location owned by the Plymouth Blackhawks Cycle Club. Walker Fowler would earn his fourth win of the season at the Blackhawk MAXC followed by Taylor Kiser and Cole Richardson rounding out the Pro ATV Podium.
The Blackhawk MAXC is one of the many fan favorites within the series. It’s unique location features sandy soil, tight woods, and high-speed open field sections. Although there isn’t any big hill climbs, the eight-mile course track makes for a challenging track with many deep whoops and uncovered tree roots that come out to greet racers as the race progresses.
With near perfect weather conditions with a slight breeze that kept the dust from lingering, the stage was set for some great Mid America Cross Country Racing in Northern Indiana.
Walker Fowler would make his fifth appearance in the 2013 AMA MAXC Racing Season at the Blackhawk MAXC. With a top three start off the line, Fowler began to battle with Kevin Cunningham and Taylor Kiser for the number one position.

“I got off to a good start. I went into the woods third behind Kevin (Cunningham) and Taylor (Kiser). I was running third pretty much the whole race. I had a real good battle with Kevin Cunningham. On the last lap I caught Taylor and I had one or two lines, that if I remembered them, I was going to take one. Luckily I was able to remember one of them and I took it and I was able to get around him,” explained Walker Fowler of his last minute pass for the win.
