Race Report
::Continued::
Jason Dunkelberger gave a solid performance as
he battled it out with Jason Fife and Justin Noss
in moto one. Dunk stayed strong and held on for
a fourth place finish in moto one. Moto two was
a bit easier for Dunk as he came off the line
in fourth and held his position all the way to
the checkered flag. The number 19 Yamaha’s
consistency earned him fourth overall for the
day and also allowed him to finish fourth in points.

Golden
West Cycle's Jason Dunkelberger made the
pass on Evan Thatcher to claim the 4th spot
in Moto One |
Evan
Thatcher had a strong Moto One running in
the top three for several laps & finished
out the day in the Top 5 |
Evan Thatcher came off the line strong in moto
one and held third place for four laps before
the trio of Yamaha’s (Noss, Dunkelberger,
and Fife) put the pressure on him and sent him
back for a fifth place finish. Moto two was a
little easier for Thatcher as he came off the
start in fifth and held it all the way to the
checkered flag, giving him a solid fifth overall
for the day.
Jason Fife put up a good fight in moto one, but
would end up losing his seat, putting him back
to seventh place. In moto two, Fife came off the
start toward the back of the pack, but worked
his way up to sixth place before crossing the
finish line, taking sixth overall.

Cody Irving made the long trip down from
Oregon & finished out the day in 7th
place overall |
Cody Irving looked consistent as he went 6-7
to claim seventh overall, and French KTM rider,
Julian Valentin went 8-8 for eighth. Kernan Dimiao
made the trek from Argentina and was racing aboard
a Big Kid Racing backed Yamaha, but luck would
not be on his side as he would blow the berm and
blow his tire in moto one.
