Race Report
::Continued::
JB Racing / ITP / Can-Am’s Larry Hendershot,
Jr. grabbed the holeshot on the second row. “We
got at great jump on the start, and got a significant
lead heading into the woods. I made a mistake
and went a little wide in one of the corners and
Kyle got around me, but we stayed right with him
for most of the race. I clipped a tree late in
the race and backed off a bit. I was going to
make a charge in the final lap, but the race was
a little shorter than we anticipated and we finished
third. I felt great out there today and I am pretty
happy with how we finished,” said Hendershot Jr.

Anderson Design’s Hans Ada started on the sixth
and final row of the Pro XC1 class, which had
him at a huge disadvantage with over 25 SxS racers
in front on him off the start, but it didn’t seem
to slow him down as he finished the first lap
in the fourth spot. Ada dropped to fifth place
in the third lap, but made up time and reclaimed
the number four spot in the final lap, which was
a much better finish than at the General where
issues took him out in the first lap.

Can-Am/Racer Tech’s Mouse Pratt grabbed the Holeshot
from the third row of the XC1 Pro SxS race. Pratt
ran a smooth and consistent race as he stayed
in the fifth spot for most of the race, which
is where he finished. Mouse Pratt’s top five finished
moved him into seventh in the points race after
a disappointing race in Georgia. “Everything worked
great for us out there today. It was rutted out
and roots everywhere out there and we were just
careful and weathered the storm and came out with
a fifth place finish,” said Pratt.

In the XC2 Pro Sport class, Coastal Racing /
Racer Tech’s John Henry put his Polaris in the
winning position. Henry started off on the tenth
row but grabbed the holeshot for his row. Henry
kept picking off the competition one by one and
took lead in lap three and held his position all
the way to the checkered flag. “This race and
this win were special for us because this is the
last race with my son Colton before he heads off
to the army, so it was a really good day for us.
It was rough out there and it was really tough
to pass, but my Racer Tech equipment held up great
and got us out front. I couldn’t be happier,”
said Henry.
