Snowshoe, WV (7/2/2013) – Inches of rain pounded Snowshoe Mountain for days before the GNCC Racers made the trek; slick rocks and sloppy mud created less than desirable conditions for the racers to tackle. Yamaha’s Walker Fowler bested the sloppy conditions and the rest of the XC1 Pro Class to earn his second victory this season. HMF’s Chris Borich and IQ Equipment’s Chris Bithell took second and third respectably.

Racing Round 9 at the Snowshoe Ski Resort in Snowshoe, West Virginia is one of the most popular events to attend because of its convenient and unique location |
The sun was shining as the racers took to the starting line for the unique black top, live engine start. The racers were arranged in rows of five and starting positions were determined by points. America’s fastest racers including Fowler, Borich, Bithell, Adam McGill and Kevin Yoho were lined up on the first row. When the green flag dropped Fowler and Borich were rolling wheel to wheel and although it looked like Borich had the holeshot he went a little wide and Fowler hugged the inside to get ahead. The two stayed close but it was Chris Borich who led the top five into the woods.
