Jarrod McClure - Polaris Outlaw 450MXR ATV |
Polaris would have something to cheer about as
Jarrod McClure scored himself a 6th place finish
in his debut XC1 race on the new ride. McClure
would not have a perfect race as his chain would
derail, not once but twice. Jarrod refuses to
quit (Big Buck last year found him using a discarded
water bottle and swiping fuel from a broken down
racer to get back in the game) and used his head
at this race to get the stuck chain back on track
and to his pits. One has to wonder what he may
have done if this issue hadn’t have put
him on the sidelines for a few minutes.

Jarrod McClure made his 2010 an impressive
debut on his new Polaris Outlaw ride at
the season opener finishing in 6th place,
and with the support of GNCC Racing Veteran,
William Yokley, things are looking great
for McClure in 2010 |

Jeff Pickens - Yamaha YFZ450 ATV |
Jeff Pickens would as well have to rebound as
a wreck early in the race set him back. Pickens
remounted his Yamaha and put his head down to
get himself back inside the top 10. As the race
ended, Pickens would stroll across the finish
line in 7th. The two rookies, (McClure and Pickens)
now will have to be watched as they could easily
sneak in and steal the thunder at any round.

Pro ATV privateer with a 7th place finish |

Johnny Gallagher - Yamaha YFZ450X ATV |
Johnny Gallagher would as well taste the Florida
soil as he wrecked and would have to work hard
to keep on the leaders pace. Gallagher would remain
inside the top 10 and score the 8th position when
the race ended. The Yamaha team would find the
9th position as well with Donald Ockerman running
just behind Gallagher at the finish. Ockerman
would secure the holeshot award and earn himself
some spending money for his efforts.

#12 Johnny Gallagher has been racing the
GNCC series for nearly his entire life,
but after nearly 2 decades of racing,
Gallagher is more determined than ever,
and he spent the entire winter training
as chases after a spot on the Podium in
2010 |
