Pro & Pro-Am ATV Race Report

Zac Willet was having a career night as he held off Shane Hitt for several laps before Hitt finally took over the final Podium spot
Hitt was unable to make up any ground on the leaders after he moved into the third spot. “I just didn’t get it tonight…we were unable to get it to turn like we wanted it to” Hitt said.

Chuckie Creech secures his 1st ever Pro EDT Win
Creech held on for the victory, the first victory of his pro career and the low-keyed personality of Goodman showed plenty of excitement as he pumped his fist when he took the checkered flag knowing he had his first National Pro Championship. For Creech it was unbelievable that he was even on the racetrack after the crash he had in round seven, just three weeks earlier, sent him to the hospital with a collapsed lung and several fractured ribs. “I just want to thank God, if not for him I would not be here tonight. I would also like to thank my family and these guys who help me with my quad” “this is a dream come true” Creech said. Hitt was able to keep the third position and was followed by Willett, Michael Coburn, Zac Stanley, Chris Fristoe, Adam Anderson, Frank Batista, and Marc Noreuil all in the top ten.

Harold Goodman & Shane Hitt sprayed down Chuckie Creech with Champagne after his win, but later on, Harold Goodman & Dee Manshack was covered in silly string

Goodman’s first championship was filled with excitement even long after the race was over. When he decides to hang up his race boots and try something different you may find him in a barber shop cutting hair as he did on engine builder Dee Manshack. Manshack agreed before the race that Goodman could shave his head if he emerged from the race as the series champion, and he did not go back on his word. Looks like he did a pretty good job, but I don’t think you’ll see Goodman giving up racing anytime soon. “It’s really great to get that first championship and I’m looking for many more” Goodman said.

Hetrick Racing's Frank Batista finished out the year in 3rd Overall
For the series Goodman finished two points ahead of Hitt in taking the championship. Rath Racing’s Frank Batista of Riverdale, CA was third after finishing tenth in his rookie year last year. Creech was able to move into the fourth spot with the victory this weekend while Mitch Reynolds abscent from the event dropped back to fifth. Michael Coburn, Zac Stanley, Danny Mcgraw, Zac Willett and Brad Riley were all in the top ten for the year.
