Unlimited & Production ATV Race Report
In the Pro Am Unlimited class Tim Farr once again
took center stage on his KTM and gained his third
victory in a row. Ryan Partee followed Farr out
of the hole along with Kirby Cooke, Darin Ogden
and Houston Lowder. Ogden was quickly into the
third spot in lap 3 and was around Partee in lap
7 with his sights set on the fast running Farr.
Ogden was able to gain some ground over the next
several laps before running into the grass in
the infield sweeper in lap 12 and ending any hope
of catching the leader.
Lowder was also able to move up as he moved into
the third spot in lap 10 ahead of Partee, but
was unable to take advantage of Ogden’s
mishap as Ogden and Farr were several seconds
ahead. Partee was able to hold on to the fourth
spot at the finish and he was followed by Zach
Stanley, Kristopher Bures, Russell Mcwhorter,
Kirby Cooke, Charlie Calloway, and Josh Carter
all getting a top ten finish.
With the win Farr stretched his points lead out
to 39 points as second place rider Brandon Hill
had a disappointing 12th place finish. Hill still
holds the second spot over Zach Stanley who is
in third. Josh Carter is fourth and Kristopher
Bures moves into the fifth spot.
In the Pro Am Production class Harold Goodman
had a much better start as he took the lead early
and never trailed the entire race. Chuckie Creech
followed Goodman off the line and he was followed
by Brad Riley, Houston Lowder and Zac Willett.
Although Goodman did not allow anyone to get around,
Creech was close the entire race as both riders
rode flawless and pulled away from the rest of
the riders.
Houston Lowder was going for his second podium
finish of the evening as he passed Riley in lap
5. Riley and Willett both stayed close to Lowder.
Riley able to pass Lowder on the back straight
of the final lap to join Goodman and Creech on
the podium. Lowder finished fourth and was followed
by Mitch Reynolds, Brandon Hill, Zac Willett,
Brian Foltz, Brandon Shipman and Doug Obie rounding
out the top ten.
After the win, and winning 5 of the first 6 rounds,
Goodman holds a commanding points lead over Frank
Batista, Mitch Reynolds in third with Chuckie
Creech only two points behind him and Brad Riley
rounding out the top five is points 6 behind Riley.
Extreme Dirt Trackers only have two rounds left
to make a move in the point standings. Round 7
will be hosted by Hetrick Racing on September
8th in Franklin, PA.
