Kinston, NC (5/6/2013) – Cloudy skies and high winds didn’t deter the racers at the opening round of the 2013 Extreme Dirt Track Series. The annual event was held at the Lenoir County Fairgrounds and defending pro and pro-am champion, Harold Goodman, took the season opener by storm and secured the win in the pro class. Nathan Wolff earned his first ever pro-am class win at the round and Chuckie Creech took top honors in the pro-am unlimited class.

The 2013 Extreme Dirt Track National Championship Series kicked off this past weekend at Lenoir County Fairgrounds in Kinston, North Carolina

The opening round featured a full gate of pro talent and the clay based track was prepped perfectly for the event. The season opener also coincided with a large BBQ competition in Kinston. The series offered shuttle bus to take race fans into town for a sampling of the down-home BBQ. Another highlight of the weekend included famed Arena-Cross racer, Jeremy Street, leading the parade lap before the racing action began.

The pro race was full of all the top contenders from previous years and defending champ, Harold Goodman, picked up right where he left off and grabbed the Holeshot.
