Walsh's
#16 Jeremy Lawson |
Walsh Race Craft’s Jeremy Lawson looked consistent
as he charged his way to a fourth place finish overall.
Lawson started off in the top ten off the line in
the first moto and pressed on to take a sixth place
finish. In moto two, Lawson was looking good as
he worked his way up to fifth place where he began
to challenge Josh Upperman but ran out of time before
he could make a pass, giving him fourth place in
moto two and fourth overall for the day.

Baldwin
Motorsports' Josh Upperman held onto a Top
3 Finish in Moto 2 for 5th Overall |
Baldwin Motorsports’ Josh Upperman was
in a solid third off the start and was challenging
John Natalie for the number two spot, but Upperman
crashed in the seventh lap and fell back for a
ninth place finish. In moto two, Upperman was
able to get a decent start in fifth and moved
into the number three spot at the midway point.
Upperman held off a late attack from Jeremy Lawson
to take a third place finish. Upperman’s
9-3 finishes were good enough to give him fifth
overall. Upperman has not finished outside of
the top five all season long and is currently
third in the points chase.
Can-Am/Motoworks’ Chad Wienen was looking
incredible as he took the ATVRiders.com fastest
qualifier award and grabbed the moto one holeshot.
Wienen led from start to finish and reached the
checkered flag with nearly a fourteen second lead
over second place.

#44
Chad Wienen grabbed the Moto 1 Holeshot
& lead from start to finish |
“I’ve been working really hard this
week and everything just worked perfect for me.
Once I got a comfortable gap I just tried to ride
smart and stay out front,” he said.
Wienen was hoping for a repeat performance in
moto two, but it would only end in disappointment
for the number 44 Can-Am as he was not able to
get his quad to fire on the starting line. As
the gate dropped, all Wienen could do was watch
as the rest of his class took off. Wienen would
not be able to get his machine going and ended
with a DNS in moto one, giving him 6th overall.
Despite his bad luck, Wienen still holds a ten
point lead over his teammate John Natalie, in
the pro points chase.
Mushin Racing’s Travis Moore finished seventh
in moto one and was looking promising in moto
two as he shot off the start in third behind Joe
Byrd and Nick DeNoble. Unfortunately, Moore dropped
back to eighth place before crossing the finish
line, giving him seventh overall.
Devin Heimes charged his way into eighth place,
up from 13th, in moto one and would go 8-9 giving
him eighth overall, his best pro finish so far
this season.
