AMA ATV MX Nationals
- Ballance Moto X - Pro ATV Race Report
::Continued::
Can-Am/Motoworks’ John Natalie, who had
the fastest qualifier, backed it up with the moto
one holeshot and win. Natalie charged hard and
recorded some of the fastest lap times of the
moto. Despite pressure and an intense battle with
Suzuki’s Josh Creamer in the final few laps,
Natalie was able to hold off his opponent to take
his first moto win of the season.

Motoworks
/ Can-Am's John Natalie Jr grabbed the
Holeshot in Moto One & held on to
claim the Moto win & Natalie also
claimed the ATVriders.com $100 Fastest
Qualifier Award
|
In moto two, Natalie appeared to be poised to
possibly take another win as he was third off
the line, but only three laps in, Natalie experienced
mechanical issues, which forced him to call it
a day. Natalie’s Moto one victory still
allowed him to take home and eighth place overall.

Keith Little was back in the Top 10 with
a 9th Overall |
ATV Rider Magazine’s MXperiment rider,
Keith Little, was looking good as he came off
the line just under the top five in moto one aboard
his Honda 450R. Little hung on to take a solid
ninth in moto one. In moto two, Little was in
the top ten off the line and held on to take a
tenth place finish, giving him ninth overall.
Nick DeNoble seemed to be having a consistent
moto one as he would go on to take a solid 11th
place at the end of moto one. In moto two, De
Noble fought hard and worked his way up from 14th
to 9th place, which would have him rounding out
the top ten overall.

Jeremie Warnia |
Jeremie Warnia was off to a mid-pack start, but
the Can-Am/Motoworks racer held strong and finished
moto one in ninth place, but Warnia would not
go far in moto two after suffering mechanical
issues that would take him out of the competition
early in the moto, putting him in 11th overall
for the day.
Pat Brown was looking solid in moto one, but
appeared to run into mechanical issues and dropped
to the back of the pack. Brown would come back
stronger in moto two and take an eighth place
finish, giving him 12th overall.
Harold Goodman would do battle with Nick DeNoble
in the first moto and would take a 12th place
finish as the dust settled. In moto two Goodman
would hang on for the 13th spot, claiming 13th
overall.
Cody Grant made his Pro debut, but his efforts
were hampered for the first moto when he was involved
in a first turn pile up with Clay Holmes and Greg
Gee. Grant and Holmes would end their days with
14th and 15th overall, while Nate Morello would
claim 16th and Greg Gee would have to settle for
17th.
At the end of round two, Dustin Wimmer still
holds the points lead with 88 points, but his
teammate Josh Creamer is closing in, as his overall
win now has him within striking distance with
84 points.
Round three of the 2010 AMA ATV Motocross Championship
will be an exciting one as the teammates will
go head to head on May 2nd in Danville, VA as
they try once again to dominate the podium.
