Suzuki’s Dustin Wimmer, who has never been a big fan of the track at Ballance Moto X, was in the top ten off the line and would eventually work his way into the number three position after a hard fought battle with Josh Upperman. Moto two seemed to go a little better for the current champ as he was in the top five off the line and soon began to battle with Chad Wienen and Thomas Brown.

It was an intense three way battle for the number three and four spots but Wimmer would eventually come out ahead and end his day with a third place moto two finish, giving him second place on the podium. “I just tried to stay focused and make it to the podium to keep the points lead,” stated Wimmer.

The 2x Pro ATV Champion, #1 Dustin Wimmer, would claim the 2nd spot on the Podium after an intense battle with Can-Am's Chad Wienen in Moto 2

Joe Byrd was looking strong in the first half of moto one despite being under the weather last week, but appeared to encounter some issues and dropped back to finish in seventh place. In moto two Byrd made a comeback, as he flew off the line in second place. Byrd would chase down Josh Creamer and take over the lead for several laps before falling back to second. Despite a huge battle with Creamer, Byrd was unable to take back the lead, giving him second place at the end of the moto, but his strong finish in moto two enabled him to claim third overall.

“I had some set up issues in the first moto, but in moto two we ran a different combination and it worked out much better,” said Byrd, who was happy to make it on the box.
