Marc Spataro's
Moto Pro Training Women’s ATV Fitness Challenge
::Continued::
After a small break the group was introduced
to a new piece of equipment called a Powermax
360. Using ominkinetic resistance, this device
delivers forces to muscle fibers never allowing
them to rest throughout the exercise. Multiple
movements can be performed on the machine and
no other piece of equipment on the market can
mimic the type of forces placed on the body like
those experienced while racing an ATV. The challenge
was to perform a given movement at the maximum
out put for 30 seconds. Each racer performed a
total of 8 movements.

Moving on to the next task the ladies were introduced
to thick rope training. Using two different 30
ft marine ropes the group had to dynamically raise
and lower the heaviest rope 25 times as fast as
possible. From there they had to move directly
to the next smaller sized rope and perform individual
raises 50 times. Each participant had to do the
event three times and all succeeded with encouragement
from group.
Another challenge utilizing a rope was a horizontal
plank to vertical rope climb. Athletes start by
lying on the floor and pull themselves hand over
hand up the rope into a vertical standing position
and then lower themselves back down for five repetitions.
Another great grip and upper body strength exercise
the ladies did extremely well with this challenge.
