through a rhythm, which quickly went south
when Wienen over shot the landing of double,
which left him flat landing from over
25 feet high, which snapped his axle on
impact and sent him tumbling, but fortunately,
he wasn’t injured, but it ended
his ride session

“I saw him come off the jump about four feet
higher than I was and I knew that it wasn’t
going to be good,” said Yamaha’s Thomas
Brown, who was recently at Wienen’s track
to get in a few practice laps and shoot some video
for ATVriders.com.
“Chad’s track is definitely one of the
toughest tracks I have ever been on. The rhythm
sections and the whoops are really tough,”
said Brown. “Once you ride his track, the
rest all seem easy,” he concluded.

After seeing how technical of a track that Wienen
practices on, it’s no wonder he is able
to fly through many of the national tracks with
ease. “After being on my track, some of
the tracks we race on are pretty easy compared
to it. Having such a technical track really helps
me a lot as far as skill and being able to go
out there and not be intimidated,” said
Wienen.

Kawasaki, and I am sure it will not be the

All of his training and practice on his track seem
to have paid off for Wienen as he is currently sitting
in the number three spot in the points race at the
mid way point of the series, but Wienen still remains
cautious when speculating on the rest of the season.
“I’m just going to take it race by race.
I’m feeling great and I’m healthy and
I am really hoping I can go injury free for the
rest of the season. Staying healthy all season is
very important to me,” said Wienen.
As round six of the 2009 AMA ATV Motocross Championship
quickly approaches, it’s anyone’s
guess as to what could happen. Points leaders
Dustin Wimmer and Joe Byrd are currently recovering
from injuries and missed points at round number
five because of that, which could open up an opportunity
for Chad Wienen to close in on the points race
in his pursuit of his first national championship.
