sorry it took so long, but monkeyballs, idk where sturgeon falls is but that is Crystal Falls in Upper Michigan, the hairscrambles that we race a re district 16 which is mostly in Wisconsin and then the one race in Upper Michigan,

I got to ride a MX track today for the first time ever. This has always been something i have wanted to do. It was a blast until i wrecked. As soon as i get a new steering stem im going again:D

Nothing big, still on stock motor, new lsr swinger, new tires, some new bearings, adjusting the valves, cleaning stuff up.......etc.

We do have some pretty good riding places around here. Some pics were taken yesterday on the ridge in the mud, some were of Wayne National Forest and the cave was in KY.

thanks i ride there about every weekend and its my friend farm he has 212 acors it has a motocross track and he dad letes every 1 ride there 4 free. i stay the night and party and watch the mud bog trucks in the pit.its awsome

mak, thanks, and that is a step up. The base was kinda rough so it was hard to get much speed. Thats my first time on a dirt track to. It was a lot of fun. Those are some pretty sweet pics you have to.

got at it in a good rate of speed, when approaching the lip DONT let off the throttle and lean back slightly.

you also need to start off on smaller jumps and work your way up to larger ones. If you don't, you'll get hurt real quick. just be sure not to go beyond your limits.

It must be extremely hard to bend a set of protaper fat bars, ive went through 2 stems and the handlebars are still straight as an arrow, and itsnt it bad, whenever you wreck its normally something really simple? i was making a h ill, and it wasnt as stepp as nuthin, i was rolling up on it, and then i was comin back off, a tree about as big around as your thumb got caught in my swingarm and made it come back, but oh well thats rideing, your gonna tare stuff up haha

That's the local track that's owned by the city I work for. As a benefit we can join the track for free. Those pics are just the MX track. There are also like 28 miles of bike trails and about 8 miles of quad trails.

I took those pics yesterday (well, the wife took most of them - that's me riding in most of them). If you went three years ago, they have really cleaned everything up. They increased the price per year, but now do maintanence a lot more often. I think they have a skid coming out in April to smooth out the quad trail again, but it's in great shape right now anyway. I generally don't do MX type stuff, but I have been the last few weeks because they did such a good job reworking the track.

And let me know when you plan a trip down here. I'm game for riding most weekends if it doesn't conflict with the kids' gymnastics competitions. I'll go play at the drop of a hat.

i ride with shallow to we actually are making a track together and this practice at gravity was my first time with boots, glad i have them now to just invest in heel guards(never had money now idc if i dont have money) so it doesnt happen to me. i guess everyone needs a pit crew right shallow:) :)

yeah hael guards and boots would have saved this from happening. my foot slipped off mt peg and got ran over my my tire. i know i should have had them a long time ago but was always to cheap. im a budget racer. always liked going out there on a 400 in blue jeans and work boots and finishing top 4 all the time. but i think its time i bought the nessecay gear like a chest protector boots and heal guards. il probly have to get an ankle brace now which sucks. but like dobber said if i cant race then i might as well play crew chief. see if i cant teach the boy a few things. and on the bright side for you dobber you got half a season to get a big points lead on me:p

I need a jump that I **** myself on but land it so I would only do it once and say never again. pictures dont do this jump justice i was hitting 4th then 5th gear pinned. next time i go out i'll build it up to sling me high up

yeap stock suspension. tuning is the key it will still be smooth over whoops and stuff but yeah I bottomed out but not too bad i've bottomed out much worse before. Like I said I want to build it up so I can hit it and just float higher up and land further. heres a video from underneath

it's actually a step up. the landing is just out of the frame; if you land in the right spot its a really smooth landing, not the flat landing the picture would lead you to believe, haha. think it's a 55 ft gap.

Been there once, but it was about 4 years ago. It was really fun, but my 50" wide bike is not at home in the woods. lol

well the way its been raining....it should be good and muddy...

yeah, they're the only dealer i know that sells them around here. i love the ds, but i finally got to ride a ktm and nothing compares. i'm only gonna do it if they give me a decent deal. i honestly don't see me getting it. it's only a dream right now. what are the odds of you riding this weekend?
