Been to the lake, but haven't been riding there. Still new and haven't traveled much to ride. Only been to like 4 or 5 tracks. Wife and I both do shift work and we have kids. Little time for fun. Keystone isn't far, though. How much trail area they have?

he got me by about a tire. he rolled the finish line double and i jumped it. 1 more corner and i think i would have got him. i havent been racing tho latly due to a rebuild that ran out of cash. it should be done soon tho. i hate not being able to ride. nice pics you got to by the way. looks like a sweet place to ride. wish i had some place to go. all of the sand pits and such by me got ruined due to a new highway being built

not a lot of wooded trails just mostly open area and sand pits, not a bad place to ride

Cool... sounds like you will get him next time - sorry to hear about ya quad needing to be rebuild, but it will be better when you get it done, good luck to a speedy rebuild so ya can get back to racing :)

the race itself was crazy. the track mainly consists of steep long hills piled high with loose dirt. the reason i couldnt finish was because i was runnin bald rear tires that day. so on most of those hills i got halfway up and then bogged out jus spinnin my tires.
i wouldve made it, if i had decent tires.

last weekend ride - My Bro got his 450r the black one Dyno tuned
.... man it made some major improvments cant keep the front down now...we had a few races until i crashed, had a 700 Kaw trying to run up my a** LOL - but all's good. the brush line sucked me in and then hit a small tree shot me off the quad at about 40/50 mph but landed in some soft grassy area, first good crash, hey but my quad is ok :D

RODE THE SAND BOWL will post up some pics mid week. also did a little drag racing - raced a super mod'ed Banshee, the guy says he is running around 100hp haha.... right. but i got to say its wasnt the normal Banshee's i am use to racing this one was a full drag 10 ft swing arm. lol

it wasnt like the mx section from back in the day on my bike.....it was only 3/4 of it and it was muddy and rutted to hell so u really werent doing to much mx it was more like trying not to spin out in the turns. but it was a fun race im gonna try and make washington in nov. let me know if u head that way!

thnx. i have always wanted both a bike and a quad. i cant afford a snowmobile and i like bikes alot. its nice to be able to continue to ride over the winter on the quad or have the flexibility to ride either.

ok heres the drag race vid - 450r vs banshee set up for draging vs 450r full bore stroker.

I ask the guy what mods were done to his banshee i guess it was top Secret \ he says a lot of mods and he was running close to 100hp.....ok. i would say it looked like he did have a ton of $ in it. his son races a 450r full bore which is also in the vid, both are nice quads,

my 450r is pushing close to 50hp, just had it dyno tune the other day. what i dont understand is with twice the hp this guy should have blown me away, we had a couple races then he was done.

Hey Mak, where in OK are you? You guys ever ride at Red River atv trails? It's near Bonham on the river. It's about an hour's drive for me to get there. I've been thinking about making a trip in the coming weeks while the weather's cool.
My son and I went during the summer, it's a pretty cool place to ride.

Close to Tulsa - never been to red river but we do have plans to make it down that way this fall, i here its a nice place to ride. - give us a shout when ya go.

That is in Okmulgee, right? I went to school there at OSU. My roomate and I went to Pats Archery all the time and finally noticed there was a track behind it. We asked some guys that were there if they allowed quads and they told us no. One claimed to be the owners son. :confused:

yep Okmulgee, and its ok to ride atv's, it is a really nice place - they keep it up and the mx track is a real challenge. ya need to go. did ya every make it to keystone below the dam?

That's my backyard. I live about an hour and a half from there. During the summer those mountains are some of the best trails mother nature has to offer.

that is my dream to go out there. but i am the only one in my family that boards so i have to wait a few years to go out there. people have said the biggest slope at the local resort is like a bunny slope out there.

yeah thats actually true the beginner run is bigger than most resorts in the east biggest run. its wild though once you go your going to want to either live there if you like the snow that much or make sure you visit every year. I guarantee if you spend a few days out west on the slopes maybe just go up to blue black or a black diamond you will think nothing of a double black in the east. i'm going to make a thread int he open forum with some pictures and stuff check it out

Heres a few from yesterday. The jump was really fun and the only time I would bottom out is when i wanted to go further than the small dip for a landing. Next time i'm bringing a shuvel to make a landing maybe 35ft+ to really fly. Weather is great this time of year to ride. It was probally 73 degrees out it feels amazing.

I was not hitting it at the wrong angle......I whipped the quad before the pic was taken. Notice you can't even see the jump, it was about 75 feet.

Yeah, I knew the river was up so i told them i wasn't river riding the past weekend so i got stuck video taping lol i rode on the back of the red quad.

Aftermath- We had to go get my frieds truck to get both of them out and the 400ex got water in the carb and had to load it back up in the truck.

Yeah, I knew the river was up so i told them i wasn't river riding the past weekend so i got stuck video taping lol i rode on the back of the red quad.

Aftermath- We had to go get my frieds truck to get both of them out and the 400ex got water in the carb and had to load it back up in the truck.


now thats a mud hole, looks like fun - did ya every get the 400 running ?

I'll answer for MAK, yes CAK got a 450 too. You don't know how bad I wanted to go riding with you guys MAK but your brother is a lazy sloth and I was on call. all stock but we have already got a few aftermarket parts on it, dang i wish i would have gone black you know what they say.....

Not bad for 06 - its was pretty clean when we got it, but by the 1st weekend he had it tore down and scrubbing it with a tooth brush lol. he is pretty good at keeping his quads clean. hope it last...

the moose a-arms lined right up and have a real nice movement and ride to them, also pretty beefy. just as good as my housers

Its more than i expected when i bought it, its a 5meg camera also with a 170 wide angle lense. it will hold about an hour of vid on a 2 gig card,

i loved my 400ex but i just wanted more power. the throttle reply is amazing. the handling & suspension is amazing. it's the best four wheeler i've ever ridden. it's a lot easier to handle in the trails than i thought. i would def. recommend one.
