Pilotte Interview: 2010 New England ATV Motocross
Racing
::Continued::
ATVRiders.com:
You’re
a big guy and the KTM is on the smaller side:
have you had any problems with the bike fitting
you?
Michael
Pilotte:
No, not really. We put on an extended steering
stem and that’s about it. For the most
part it fits pretty good.
ATVRiders.com:
Who are your main sponsors for the 2010 season?
Michael
Pilotte:
KTM, DRT, DASA, PEP, Walsh Race Craft, and
we are still working on a tire sponsor.
ATVRiders.com:
With the extra support this year, has it allowed
you to step up your training efforts?
Michael
Pilotte:
Definitely! I have been down in Florida for
the past six weeks training and just spent
the last week training with Josh Creamer.
This is the first I have finally gotten to
train in the winter, so it’s been really
great for me.

ATVRiders.com:
It appears that the competition is going to
be picking up a bit in the New England ATV
Motocross series this year. What are your
views on the competition?
Michael
Pilotte:
Well, I know that Jasmin Plante will be racing
the whole series this year and he is my biggest
worry because he is really fast. I know that
he is looking for a championship this year
and will have been training hard, so he will
be tough to beat.
ATVRiders.com:
Will you still be running the number eight
plate this season?
Michael
Pilotte:
Yes, I will still be number eight.
ATVRiders.com:
It’s been rumored that you will be racing
in a couple of Nationals as well this year.
Is that true?
Michael
Pilotte:
Yes. We will be at Unadilla for sure and a
couple other rounds that are closer to home.

stem, +1 swingarm, and DASA powerplant
Pilotte's new DRT KTM fits him nicely
and handles very well for him |
ATVRiders.com:
What class will you be racing in?
Michael
Pilotte:
I’ll be racing Pro-am because I can’t
get my pro license until I win the New England
series pro championship. I’m ok with
racing that class though. I went out to the
first round of Nationals with Josh (Creamer)
and saw what the competition is like out there
in the pro class and it was pretty intense!
ATVRiders.com:
What are your goals for the season?
Michael
Pilotte:
To give it all we’ve got, and to win!
ATVRiders.com:
Thanks for talking with us, Michael. We wish
you the best for a successful season and look
forward to seeing you on the podium at the
NEATVMX season opener!
Michael
Pilotte:
Thank you!
