Jeffery Rastrelli first threw a leg over
a dirtbike seven years ago, but decided it
just wasn’t for him. He then tried out
his father’s ATV and found he was much
better on four wheels than two. Ever since,
he has been making amazing progress as a racer.
“I started out on a dirt bike, but
I really wasn’t that good at riding
it, so I tried out my dad’s quad and
found out that I’m much better on four
wheels than two,” he said.
Jeffery Rastrelli has been quite successful
in his racing efforts over the past six years,
taking three national youth championships
and one WPSA youth championship.
At round six of the AMA ATV Motocross Nationals,
Rastrelli decided to make the jump from the
Schoolboy Senior class to Production A and
Pro-am Unlimited and had some pretty remarkable
results, placing seventh in Pro-am Unlimited
and winning the Production A class.

Rastrelli’s decision came after riding
with a couple of friends in the Pro-am ranks.
“I was the same speed as them so I decided
to give it a try,” said Rastrelli.
Although he has had a successful season so
far, the young rider suffered a set back over
the winter when he broke his leg, but now
that he has fully recovered, he has stepped
up his training program as he plans to race
Pro-am Production and Pro-am unlimited full
time next season.
“The competition is so much more intense
in the Pro-am class than in the youth classes,
it’s almost kind of scary,” he
stated. “I am really working on my speed
and if all goes well next season, I might
make the transition to Pro.”
Rastrelli puts so much into his training
program that he admits he doesn’t have
much time for anything else. “I don’t
really have any other hobbies. Pretty much
all I do is ride and train,” he said.

Rastrelli’s goals for this season are
simple. “I want to be on the podium
in the Pro-am Unlimited and I want to win
more of the Production A races.”
With his dedication and determination, it’s
very possible we could see the up and coming
Jeffrey Rastrelli in the Pro ranks within
the next couple of years.
