Borich's 2009 Suzuki LTR450 |
ATVRiders.com:
This year is your second year with Suzuki and
you have had a really good season; are you doing
anything different from last year?
Chris
Borich: We have actually been
doing a lot of testing with the Suzuki, especially
with the suspension. We had one bad round where
I broke a sprocket wheel, but we are running
a guard now and haven’t had any problems
with that ever since. For suspension, we’re
running Fox again this year and like I said,
we have been doing a lot of testing and tuning
and we have everything really dialed in. Another
thing is we’ve been testing with different
swing arms and I think now we have a really
good set up in with that as well.

Chris Borich has claimed the GNCC Pro
Class Win the past 4 races, but it could
have been 6 straight wins if he wouldn't
have had sprocket issues at Loretta
Lynn's while leading, which sent him
to the pits with a DNF and took away
his points lead briefly in the chase
for the 2009 GNCC Series Championship |
ATVRiders.com:
The engine in your Suzuki LTR450's sound absolutely
amazing; do you have a different builder this
year?
Chris
Borich: Yes, we’ve also
got a deal with Yoshimura this season to do
our engine work and that has really made a
big difference for us.

Suzuki's
Chris Borich has a woods practice track
right at home along side his father's
Auto Parts shop, which provides him
plenty of time for testing |
ATVRiders.com:
You recently made a trip out to the west coast
and did one of the WORCS races in Washington
State. What did you think of WORCSseries?
Chris
Borich: It went really well.
I think it’s a good series and it was
a lot of fun. The promoter for that series,
Sean Reddish, seems really cool and does a
good job. It was also nice to be able to get
a practice in before the race because in GNCC
we don’t get that.

Suzuki's
Chris Borich made his WORCS Racing debut
in on August 16th at Straddleline ORV
Park in Washington State, and he claimed
the Win for Suzuki with nearly 3 minutes
to spare, and he hopes to make his return
for the final round of the WORCS ATV
Racing Series at Mesquite, NV if he
can wrap-up the GNCC Championship before
the Ironman |
ATVRiders.com:
You did remarkably well at WORCS, taking the
win by over two minutes, were you going all
out?
Chris
Borich: I had a second row
start, but I got out front after the second
lap. Once I was out front I just put it in
cruise control because my main focus and priority
is to win the GNCC championship and I didn’t
want to risk an injury or anything that would
jeopardize it.
