Great Falls, MT - ATVriders.com recently got back from an awesome ride with Polaris in Great Falls, Montana for their 2013 ATV & SxS / UTV Model intro.
We got a chance to check out and ride many of the new 2013 Polaris models including the 2013 Polaris RZR 570 Trail SxS / UTV, 2013 Polaris RANGER XP 900 SxS / UTV, and the redesigned 2013 Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Sport Utility ATV.
First introduced in 1995, the Polaris Scrambler 400 4x4 Sport Utility was the first to bridge the gap between a Utility ATV and a Sport ATV. With its powerful 2-stroke engine, plush suspension and lighter weight (compared to Utility ATV models), Polaris opened up a whole new market of ATVs.

In 1997, Polaris slowly phased out the 2-stroke Scrambler 400 4x4 ATV due to increased emission standards. With 2-stroke engines beginning to be phased out, Polaris introduced the Polaris 500 4x4 ATV, which featured a high-output 4-stroke to replace the popular Scrambler 400 4x4 Sport Utility ATV. The Scrambler 500 4x4 Sport ATV remained relatively unchanged for fourteen years until 2013. Consumers were asking for even more power with the market share being filled with larger displacement engines than ever before.
Replacing the outdated Polaris Scrambler 500 4x4 ATV was a must to keep up with the ever-growing market of big more machines. Polaris chose to give the Scrambler several new upgrades including a larger engine, redesigned plastic, headlight, among many other parts.

With most things, first impressions mean a lot. Although, sometimes judging things by its cover isn’t the best thing to do, when we first saw the 2013 Scrambler XP 850 we had mixed feeling about its looks. The 2013 Polaris Scrambler XP 850 Sport Utility ATV has futuristic aggressive styling with using a combination of sharp bodyline and cast aluminum inline shift lever, grab bar, and integrated racks.
