Bramwell, WV (9/6/2012) - ATVriders.com recently had an opportunity to ride at the Hatfield McCoy Trail system located in West Virginia with Kawasaki. The Hatfield McCoy trail system is one of the largest OHV trail systems in the world and features over 600 miles of trails. There are seven trailheads within the Hatfield McCoy Trail System including Indian Ridge, Rock House, Little Coal, Buffalo Mountain, Bearwallow, Pinnacle Creek, and the newest trail head - the Pocahontas trail system.

Opened on May 25th, 2012, the Pocahontas trailhead is located in Bramwell, WV. The town of Bramwell, much like the rich history of the Hatfield McCoy feud, holds its own stories of the past, and can be seen by a short stroll through town.

Immediately, the 2013 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 4x4 EPS Special Edition ATV caught our eye with its Candy Lime Green painted plastic and chrome wheels. This would be our weapon of choice to check out and ride the Hatfield McCoy - Pocahontas Trail System.

Like many of the trails within the Hatfield McCoy Trail System, the Pocahontas trail ranges in difficulty from easy to extremely difficult. All of the trails within the Hatfield McCoy Trail System are well marked and maps are provided for every trail. On our ride, we would mainly stay on the easy to more difficult trails that are marked with green and blue markers.
The Hatfield McCoy Trail System is right in the heart of the Appalachian Mountain range, which is the largest mountain range in the eastern United States. As you may have guessed, there are many elevation changes making the trails very interesting.
