I won’t waste your time explaining the
area or master plan to you in detail, they have
a website that has the skinny on just about
every detail as well as contact information
if you want to help or become involved with
keeping this project rolling ahead at full speed!
Please visit and read the info they have available
and help spread the word through what ever means
you can, and here is the website for more information:

There
is a very cool geographical feature viewable
from the Anthracite Outdoor Adventure
trails, which is called "The WhaleBack",
but the Whale itself is on private property |
Now when I say diamond in the rough, that is
exactly what is sitting there waiting for the
red tape and support to polish the shine on
this deal. Already in place is a network of
haul roads and trails that we were unable to
even see the half of in a full day of riding.
Those who have visited other ORV areas in the
state know that you can find every means of
off road vehicle prowling the country side at
most venues that cater to the off roading crowd,
and here will be no different.

Whether
you ride a Utility ATV or Sport ATV, there
are plenty of trails to provide for an
enjoyable riding experience |
What I did find intriguing was an area they
will deem "non motorized" to allow
other types of outdoor recreation. Horseback
and Mountain Bike riding and hiking just to
name a few of the things I recall being high
on the list should offer some folks the opportunity
to cover just about every aspect one would want
to cover in an outdoor venue for the weekend.

The
area is filled with wildlife, which can
make for an exciting hike through the
woods & on our ride, we found black
bear tracks, turkeys, and snakes to name
a few |
Feedback was requested and those in attendance
gladly poured it on them as ideas flowed and
suggestions made, even though I got the feeling
these guys know way more about off roading then
they let on, after all, they live in the middle
of the best areas on the east coast for getting
your tires dirty!

Anthracite
Outdoor Adventure Area is in the heart
of ATV riding country as many of the fastest
ATV racers in the country are from the
mountains of Pennsylvania with miles and
miles of riding areas to test his or her
skills |
