2011 Arctic Cat Prowler XTZ 1000 UTV / SxS
Although the 2011 Arctic Cat Prowler XTZ 1000 UTV weights in at 1315lbs , it still is very capable of catching some air!
Due to the safety improvements to the 2011 model we found ourselves wanting to spend more time in the unit and we didn’t feel nervous at all even when the XTZ1000 took flight when we took it on a 30 foot, uphill jump. The Prowler XTZ1000’s RydeFX gas-charged mono-tube shocks all around, soaked up the impact of our big air attempt and felt incredibly smooth and plush, which also instilled more confidence in this vehicle and its capabilities. Cornering and overall handling of the Prowler was very good as it felt secure and not tippy, even in more aggressive driving situations.

Ground clearance of the XTZ1000 was great and allowed us to get over just about any obstacles. The ten inches of front and rear travel offered a very plush and comfortable ride, even in the rougher spots of the trails, where we also noticed the improvement in the seatbelts of the unit.

The Arctic Cat Prowler XTZ 1000 features RydeFX gas-charged shocks, which worked extremely well in our test ride, thanks to their 10" of travel front & rear

In the previous models, the seatbelts did not have any flex and were a little rough on your shoulders in rough terrain, but the new flexible design of the 2011 model provides good protection and comfort all at once.

Power Steering on Arctic Cat Prowler XTZ 1000 makes it very easy to maneuver through tight trails & reduces kickback from obstacles on the trail like rocks and roots, but we did manage to bend a tie-rod while pushing the Prowler to its limits in an attempt to see what kind of feedback would be felt at the steering wheel. Amazingly, we didn’t realize the bent tie-rod till after the fact, which proved to us how well the power steering performed in absorbing the impact.

The power steering of Prowler XTZ1000 makes driving the unit a breeze, even in tough trails and allows for better control. The hydraulic front and rear brakes of the Prowler provided us with plenty of stopping power, which is most definitely needed in such a high performance machine.
